agreed and some of them are hardly youngsters, the problem is now to make the premiership as an english young player you have to be exceptional, not even sure if Lallana falls into that category yet

most of the really good ones are signed up by 15/16 , your plan would only work if we can get them at 12/13. The other issue about better chance to succeed is that ego takes over and a choice between Arsenal and Saints often means parents plump for Arsenal because THEY believe their son is a world beater. Even the Crewe academy has dried up recently with very few lads coming through into the premiership.

Bad day at work, but i personally am fed up with all this b*llocks about good football/attractive football. I want to watch winning football and unless we find away to start winning soon this club is going to be crippled financially for years to come, crowds of 15k will not earn enough to pay the mortgage let alone invest in the future. We must be getting near the point where expenditure on Staplewood/Academy etc is in doubt

It is starting to look like the master plan only covered one side of the equation , cut costs. The problem is that the gates are dropping like a stone and with it income. A winning side is the only way to maintain gates and thus income. Ruperts vision may work in Den Bosch but the cost base their is low and with it attendances.

It may be pleasant on the eye but crowds will return to watch a winning team not because they look good The ball can go back or square but the mark of a good side is how they pass in the other teams half, picking the killer pass is the art not laying it square to James, who gives it to Perry, who gives it to Gillet, who gives it to Surman , who gives it to Cork , who gives it to Gillett , who passes it to McGoldrick ( insert any name of an advance player) who loses it and puts us back under pressure.

Whilst I agree what you say about Lowe/Wilde now is not the time to be frightened. Yes £25 is a lot of money but if you can afford it and have the time get yourself down to SMS on Saturday. Supporting Saints has always been about highs and lows, just because we had 27 years of semi highs. I want Lowe gone but NOW is about supporting the team , whether you agree with the methods it is OUR football club

Problem Jan appears to have is we are not physically strong enough at the back , so we employ a system to pack midfield to offer additional cover. Problem is in the CCC teams often bypass midfield and still get at back 4. We might as well play 4-4-2 and get some pressure at the other end of the pitch , attack is the best form of defence

My attitude is I do not like what is going on at the club, disagree with the plan etc. BUT this is my football club and it needs me NOW Rupert and his chums are just passing through , i will put my loathing of him, his methods etc on HOLD because i am dammed if i will let any outsiders ridicule my CLUB. a win Saturday means as much as all the good times because only the next game matters.
