CHEER ME up why don't you
-
Loved the premiership the expectation of turning over one of the big boys was what SFC grew up with. now beating Doncaster does not really exite me
-
went off after about 20mins with a bad knee injury, hence the reason for this thread
-
just Davies for me
-
except get injuried
-
Sort of agree, are problems stem from the fact that a large number of our supporters have only ever known premiership/topflight football. Even within my family both my sons (20 and 14) are starting to exhibit apathy to going to away games. The elder fans do at least know about lower level football but the big difference to the 60's was hope. the way the game is now , and i know some are against it, that unless you attract massive overseas investment you cannot compete on the pitch , for a long period, in the premiership. Iam 54 and believe that we will never get back up without that massive investment, the costs of SMS are going to be there for years.

What i do not understand is if we are not going to play them , then why not let them go on free transfers to cut wage bill , in fact let them go on free transfer and pay half their wages would still save us money
-
Would have fitted in well then
-
that is the issue is what we are playing good football , or is it showboating with very little end product. It may . in the eyes of some, be better than last season but football is about winning, be it ugly or pretty,
-
some will try and blame the fans
-
and that is the problem no dominate force
-
Surely the issue is that any kid who plays football at any level, Tyro to Saints, knows that playing pretty football every week but losing is no GOOD and will drain their confedence. If this continues it will potentially ruin some good young players for this season. Basically we are in trouble against any forward with strength and pace
-
sums it up for me , only thing missing is the claim that we would have been world beaters if glenda had been appointed.
-
not sure but some of the real ****roaches who form part of this little group may have had to crawl out from under the carpet
-
IF only Rupert had walked
-
agreed but he gave me a brillant birthday weekend in Manchester when we stuffed City
-
The tragedy was that he stayed
-
Why do we always make such a poor start to the season?
70's Mike replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
getting back to the original thread, my theory is that we start badly because it is warmer in the south than up north and we struggle to get in any proper endurance training and it is to hot on home games until october -
THE nub of the matter, when push came to shove Ruperts so called mates stabbed him in the back. rl should have walked that day but showed a lack of strength and a need to keep his nose in the trough
-
2-2 draw busy day watch son play hants cup under 14 at 10 tomorrow, then drive up to Hammersmith hospital and then either tube or walk to ground.
-
Swan became a Beefeater , now flats. Haymarket Warrens Park INN Scullards Windsor Lord Louis Anchor and Hope ( bottom of Hill Lane) then up Hill Lane for a game , regular crawl every other Saturday
-
i sure someone will tell us he is a top businessman
-
wait for it , he has cut costs , no one else in the world could do that we beat brum in a meaningless cup game we can pass the ball 20 times across the back 4 we can may big wages to players and not play them
