Staggered by the Professor's post, i have had a few disagreements with him but to stay away. I dislike Lowe with a passion and as for Askham, words fail me. JP because of Rupert is out of his depth , my Dutch friends warned me about him. but as Jan has said to often it is passing for passing sake with no end product. Jan has the right idea but appears to be struggling to get the players to do everything he says

the last 2 home games we have passed it around between the back 4 and Gillet and then hoofed it forward. mixture of both methods is employed by most ccc teams, are problem is we have no one on the end of the hoof

MY comment came from the fact that DMG and BWP made the 4-5-1 into a 4-3-3 because they basically forgot about going backwards , in fact they actually made it a 4-3 and 3 down the middle against Barnsley. Now according to some that was not Jan's fault because the players had crossed the white line. If after 2 months or more we still do not grasp what is required is it the players fault or the managers

No Lowe did sign Wotton , my argument is that we should have signed more like him , rather than risking 1m Euros( i believe) on Morgan.

So our Manager has no control over formation once the game starts , and cannot get players to play how he wants them to once a game has start. We have shown Blind Faith since his appointment, a whole pre season and nearly 2 months of the season, people are voting with their feet because they cannot see or believe that Jan can actually improve our performances in this division

Chelsea made it work with Cole and Robben as the wide 2 strikers, and Lampard, Makele and Essien in midfield. Very few other sides really play it. Our attempt with DMG and BWP was awful

playing 4-3-3 only works if you have exceptional players as your middle 3, i tried it with my son's under 14 team in a friendly game and we got swamped
