Before they went into Admin the first time they signed a young french lad of 17 from Paris St Germain. Paid him £2000 per week and so he was not alone in a strange country they paid for a flat so that his older sister and younger brother could live in the UK, I believe parents were dead. Now the younger lad could also play and was signed to there Academy. When they went into Admin in 2010 the elder boy was sold to Lucerne and the younger boy was told he was released from the Academy and handed back all of his kit, he never stepped foot in the Academy again. The younger boy and his sister stayed in the UK in different accomodation and the boy now 11 started to play football for a few local sides. This year, still playing for a local side, he had trials at Saints and Chelsea and eventually Chelsea invited him to join their Academy. Chelsea then contacted the Premier League to ensure the boy was not registered with another club, and discovered that Pompey had not cancelled the registration even though they had not seen the boy for over 2 years. The local club involved were hauled over the coals for playing an Academy player, even though the young french lad thought he had been kicked out as he had been told that and had had no involvement. The final bit of the story is that the Skates are now demanding Chelsea pay them a fee of , i believe, £25000 for a 13 year boys registration, a boy they threw out.

Gas discovered in Portsmouth No Sorry a mistake it is JUST HOT AIR

Slightly disagree it is about balance, spending 20m to improve/expand stadium but still being in the championship/relegated from premiership would be pointless.Whilst having a healthy Balance Sheet is vital so is playing in the top flight to ensure long term sustainable growth

Not convinced about De Ridder, flatters to deceive. reminds me a bit of Tommy Jenkins and even, for the real oldies, John Sydenham. Lots of pace and trickery but not always an end product

toss up between Morgan and Lallana for me, would like to think that any of our strikers would have scored the goals today

keep hearing that line being trotted out, but who in their squad other than Green is better than our equivalent, think it is a slight myth they bought a lot but not convinced on the quality. Think big Sam is struggling his game does not fit what the West ham players can produce -
Hope he makes all those who deserted the Club when all Income was needed pay a high price for stabbing us in the back

will try but one thing is for sure we will not go broke trying to buy success on the back of local charities and businesses

Agree except for point 1 Southampton FootballClub is in debt but we do not know if or when it is repayable
-
our friend from Reading does not even know who they played from Milan
-
just wondering where the 250000 on Southsea common had gone as a club you chose to pay a fortune in wages for a few seasons of partial glory so the lack of a decent ground is club's choice

"Typical Saints" will probably mess it up after all
70's Mike replied to CB Fry's topic in The Saints
obvious reply we relied on one forward in 48/49 but still think we can do it this time, think saturday is a big game because we need to keep momentum and pressure on West Ham/Reading -
Club should remember all the Corporates who deserted us on relegation, both relegations, and sting them with the prices. Enough so mine stays the same price
-
do not remember being 5 points ahead with 8 games to go, no it was nip and tuck with Bolton, Spuds and Brighton
-
totally agree if it goes up to much i would have to look at whether i renewed our 3
