  1. he had an absolute mare. I couldn't believe my eyes. I don't recall him being terrible over the course of the entire season though, just not great.
  2. The numerous Sheffield United fans in my family love him from his time there. If they got promoted, that might be a good fit.
  3. Him being acquired by another Prem side would be similar to us buying Shane Long way back when.
  4. A past it Le Saux or never had it Perraud? What a choice. Despite being shit, the 2005 side could have survived. They fucked it up letting good leads slip. This 2013 side haven't really competed. oh to have Henri back in a Saints shirt. Fucking electric.

    Salisu

not sure how revealing they are not picking a guy because he can't be arsed helps anyone, especially if it isn't true.

    Salisu

The Newcastle boat may have sailed with them spending the money on Botman not long after they bid for Salisu. But powerful and quick international quality cb's are hard to find, so there will be a market.

Always thought that was a load of bollocks. If you are signing a guy, who do you ask that will give you a honest answer? No one at the selling club is going to say, "he's a wanker, so don't give us that desperately needed £10m for his signature".

    Salisu

He was injured and didn't play for Ghana. Possibly, he is just still injured. That said, not sure why The Athletic would write this story unless there was something in it. If the story is valid, I'm guessing a Prem club has already been in contact with his agent and they have agreed terms. So, he knows he is off and potentially Saints know too, with the agent or Salisu himself telling them he won't be signing a new deal and wants to leave this summer.
  9. Finisher? We're not exactly leaving Robbie Fowler out here.
  10. From what I have seen of him, he is only going to score if we deliver decent crosses in the air from good areas (not deep) and we just don't do that. Perraud's crossing is awful and KWP isn't any better. These guys have got themselves into good positions a fair amount this season, but simply have not delivered. Perraud can't create that yard he needs and a lot of his crosses are cut out. KWP tends to dribble into dangerous areas, but doesn't get dangerous crosses in. Quite a few cut backs, but that doesn't help Onuachu. We've not had many opportunities to assess Bree, but from what I saw, he looks like he is happy to get the ball out from his feet and swing a good cross in. He could be the guy next season to feed Onuachu. Sulemana doesn't cross the ball and who knows what Orisic does.
  11. they really did.
  12. unless we gave another contract without announcing it......[shudder].
  13. just shows how difficult it is to manage these players and their contracts. How many of us would have complained if Newcastle's £40m offer 15 months ago had been accepted (assuming it was genuine)? But on reflection we should have taken it as he has underperformed since.
  14. I agree with you on Onuachu. Complete panic buy. I don't think AA will score goals next season. His confidence has gone. He dithers and delays and shoots with no confidence. He doesn't get into positions to score and he's not greedy enough. He needs a fresh start.
  15. We ain't paying contracts off. The spunking of Dragon's millions will need to stop.
  16. yeah, he wasn't good. I'm just desperate to find a striker already at the club that will give us a fighting chance of promotion next season.
  17. We did something different. We played with a false 9. First time this season. Different isn't always better. We've not really started Mara all season. We could do that. That would be different.
  18. yeah, it would have been a completely different game with the poor man's Kev Francis leading our line.
  19. he really was. Rag dolled and left for dead by Haarland. Everyien said CBs was our strength, but it's been a shit show all season.
  20. That's not our only problem.
  21. I'm not a Onuachu fan. Do you think he might score goals for us in the Championship?
  22. al our CBs have been poor this season. Even ABK, by far our best CB wasn't great today.
  23. he had a poor game last week, mis-controlling twice when we had great chances to break, but if he stops trying to nutmeg everyone all the time, I think there is a player in there. He might score the amount of goals we need next year. Someone will have to.
  24. we'e gone five at the back to try to prevent a cricket score.
  25. Some tired legs, so space opening up. More goals likely.
