  1. I don't think Les has 'played a good hand' as such, but I do agree with your very good post that Everton's interest this summer could actually be a very good for us as there was a chance that Koeman would see out his contract but not sign another creating the dead duck scenario you describe.
  2. Good points. But would Howe actually want to come here? I don't see him leaving them myself, certainly not for us.
  3. Gold suggested £100,000 a week.
  4. Should we get Inter will they offer Saints pretty much as many tickets as we want to take? It would be like a dream come true to watch Saints at the San Siro.
  5. Not his biggest fan, but there might be a case for Paul Jones. Stek has been ok, steady, but he doesn't make top class saves.
  6. how long will the Ox be out for?
  7. I feel really sorry for genuine football experts that are able to speak eloquently about the game. Seeing the likes of Michel Owen and Robbie Savage get paid a small fortune instead of them must annoy them even more than it annoys me. It's such a breath of fresh air when real journalists, commentators and experts appear on football radio and TV programmes. The media companies need to take along hard look and listen to the **** some (not all I admit) of these ex-pros are forcing us to listen to. I watched the game last night, but felt I had no choice but to reach for the mute button whenever they went to the studio. I just can't listen to these chumps like Owen talking utter twaddle. I suspect I am preaching to the converted here, but you don't have to have played the game to understand it or talk about it. In fact being able to think and talk ought to be the first requirement not the last. Returning to the thread, **** me what joy. First the skates get done in the 91st minute and now Lallana and (especially) Lovren get made to look like mugs and miss out on Europe next season. As Saints fans we have been spoilt rotten this season.
  8. Enjoyed seeing Lallana getting a roasting from Klopp. Look forward to those two appearing in the next series of neighbours at war
  9. Cheerio, you badge kissing ****.
  10. Joy.
  11. Get Lallana off. If they get back into this game hopefully he plays no part in it.
  12. Which makes that goal that little bit more enjoyable. LOvren megged. Love it.
  13. For the purposes of my watching pleasure I have decided that we will earn serval million if they do. I fackin hate Liverpool.
  14. If Liverpool lose do they miss out on all European football next season?
  15. Who did you have in mind? LFC know how to prize saints players they want out of SMS, so if they rate Bertrand you can bet they will tap him up in the next few weeks if they haven't already.
  16. We can only have so many players in the squad. Wouldn't you prefer we took a punt on the next Lampard rather than a player that is a shadow of him at his best?
  17. can't we just let him disappear up to the great united graveyard on the tyne that is Sunderland? If Wanyama goes lets at least try to sign a player that can get about the pitch.
  18. It's simple, win things and lots of plastics around the world will attach themselves and start buying club tat left, right and centre.
  19. A club finishing 5th or 6th perhaps doesn't need too much of an overhaul, but maybe replacing our young talent that has left with other young talent would be the order of the day. As suggested last summer - Lewis Cook and Alex Mowatt, both from Leeds might work. I suspect the former has gone from a `worth a punt' kind of price, to more of a `you need to be sure' kind of price. I also hope we have scouted Baily Cargill whilst he was on loan at Coventry from Bournemouth. I thought he looked a very good player when I saw him playing at left back and I read on Wikapedia that he can play centre back. A left footed centre back might be on our shopping list. Doubt this kind of transfer would ever happen though.
  20. Tim Krul, but I suspect that wouldn't work for club (wages too high) and player (wanting to be first choice).
  21. You'd like to think so, but I do wonder how many teams would bring a larger away allocation if it was offered - Liverpool, Man U, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Bournemouth. Maybe West Ham and Palace if they were going well. The first few listed can sell huge numbers.
  22. just shows was reasonable pricing can do. You only have to look at how many fans (a lot of which are not season ticket holders) that got tickets for the FA cup game at SMS against Palace because it was reasonably priced.
  23. Real pity Cook didn't do interviews after the game, I was looking forward to Martin from ExpressFM trying not to ask anything that might seem negative.
  24. The silver lining for the skates is that the stadium planning committee gets more time to work out how to finance the harbour dome without diluting their share
  25. Imagine only having those three players to help flog your ****ty shirts. All that TV money and all you have is a Fletcher.
