Birch is selling the club and ground as one lot. The PDT are buying the entire lot, but once they take ownership the ground will then pass to Robinson - who is front £2.75m of the over £5.75m (or thereabouts) PDT bid. Birch is not making two sales.

was he wearing black jeans at the time?

I suggested we sign him having seen him play for Barnet, backed him when most of the forum seemed to be slating him and continue to see what he does well rather than focus on what he can't. So for me nothing has changed after Saturday. He's not a world beater by any means, but the ball retention he offers if vital at this level.

I'm kind of glad the Echo have been banned by Nik Nak from St Marys as it means they are free to report on items such as this without fear of reprisal rather than just brush them under the carpet as so many on here seem to think they should be doing.
-
he's not quick and never was. I'd of thought every Saints fan would have worked that out by now.
-
Absolutely. Good job by the club to ensure he signed a long term contract. Not everyone slammed the committee's transfers in the summer by the way.

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/defender-leaves-blues-1-4498490 I see they are considering not renewing the loan of the Reading keeper, leaving them with just one. No doubt they will expect the FL to grant them special dispensation should that keeper get injured and they need to bring in an emergency loan taking them above the 20 squad size.

Great sub. Adkins got almost all his subs right last season, it's not worked out that way this season. Maybe he's got his mojo (the luck) back.
-
excellent response. Good quality facts to back up what everyone could see that his work rate, off the ball running, closing down of opponents and ridiculous number of interceptions meant we dominated teams leading to eventual wins. He's never had the touch for the Prem, but no one should underestimate the good things he did for us last season helping us to promotion.

How many tactical mistakes is Adkins allowed? (Part 2)

thanks for improving it. -
Gazza only made one decent save yesterday when Taarabt hit it straight at him. Other than that the ball appeared to be like a wet bar of soap to him. Gazza has made the full range of goalkeeping errors since coming into the side. He got his angles all wrong at Everton, poor kicking choices against Swansea and dodgy handling and command of his area yesterday. I've been a huge backer of Kelvin and people forget some of the outstanding performances he has out in over the last 5 years, not to mention the amazing number of penalty saves, but he just seemed didn't seem to have a world class save left in him. Boruc just looked very unfit to me and was sluggish off his line against Spurs. Get him fit and he's the obvious choice.

It's not just Cork coming in, it's Ramirez and Shaw too, plus a tighter formation, better ball retention, less gung-ho fullbacks, a defence taking less chances in possession and weaker opponents. Cork has played well though and long may it continue.

same old fish ****ers, always losing

sadly the relegations seasons in the past have shown there are always false dawns. Still, at least we have something to cling our hopes on to at last. It was getting desperate. We look like we have a pattern of play and some idea what we are doing. Very good to watch too Lallana, Puncheon and Ramirez linking together. We can open teams up. We will always have a chance.
-
it's brilliant. where's me picture of of a hand grabbing at a bundle of straws.
-
sadly you are right, but let's enjoy the win for two minutes before our feet come back down to earth. Also check out the table, a lot of the bottom half sides still to play yet and only chelsea in the top half.
-
Unbeaten and one defensive error away from two straights wins since Cork Ramirez and Shaw came back from injury. Well done Nige. Well done Saints.
-
Yes. But despite that many didn't doubt Adkins, didn't think he needed to be vindicated AND don't think Cortese has interfered.
-
nothing to do with getting Cork, Ramirez and Shaw back from injury and perhaps Adkins realising that we need to protect fullbacks? Nah, it's all down Cortese taking a back seat from team selection. Just enjoy the win
-
What does Adkins do? He likes to show faith in players and give then a run of games, but he'd gone up a blind alley with the keepers. Is anyone convinced by the other two?
-
4-4-1-1 again looked good. Ramirez quality allows us to do so much more going forward without having throw every player forward.
-
the overplaying tended to be because chances fell to the wrong foot of players so they passed rather than gamble on their swingers. With the quality if keepers at this level I don't blame them.
-
he played pretty well, lots of interplay, we just needed to sure up the middle a bit more as QPR were coming into it. It was the right sub. I'll say that again. Adkins made a very good substitution, maybe a match winning one. We got control of the game again and the rest is history.
