For your interest I agree with all those reasons and personally enjoyed the Championship greatly and perhaps even more our time in League 1. However, don't kid yourself that all those reasons to like would go out the window for the vast majority if we were getting stuffed. I was at St Marys with the 13k others watching Sheff United rob us in a dour midweek game and it was plain for all to see that losing most weeks puts many fans off, no matter how cheap the tickets are.

After 27 years in the top flight the fans have a premiership mindset. Not sure that is true. Our fans are poretty much the same as every other club. Some hardcore, many passionate and many fair-weather. As one of the paltry13k watching us lose the Sheff United on a Tuesday in February 2009 I can testify to this. they have more fanatics. Each might be slightly less fanatical than you, but hard to make that assessment. Winning = happiness. And? Games were moved all over the place for TV. no idea what this means. It feels harsh and expensive, but if we should get it together at some point and we beat someone decent it will feel ****ing great.

total and utter drivel. Look at the number of teams that have gone up from league 1 into the Championship and `consolidated'. Brighton, Barnsley, Leeds, Cardiff, Forest, Bristol City, Watford, Millwall, Peterborough. Consolidation can quickly become stagnation. we don't like the championship or the lower leagues, we just like winning. If we were winning most weeks then this would be the best league in the world. In don't recall a single fan saying how much they enjoyed it when we were getting beaten most weeks in the championship. Oh and the idea that we play at 3pm on a Saturday every week in the championship was false as we regularly had games moved for TV.

Morgan was poor at West Ham as well by the way. In contrast Davis had a great game. Still think we need a third `proper' central midfielder playing if we are to have both Lallana and Ramirez in the side.

This is exactly how I read it. We have lost our bottle to take possession of the ball in tight spaces and keep it. We play safe, Rory Delap style balls away from danger that don't lead directly to goals but by giving the ball away cheaply pressure builds and we eventually fall. Davis and Morgan had shockers. Confidence has gone and that spells big trouble. At the start of the season I didn't see three sides weaker than us and my opinion hasn't changed. Maybe that's why I am more forgiving of NA. I knew it would be tough and therefore its no surprise we're finding it so. The question is can Adkins ride out the storm and find a winning formula? It's looking desperate.

when I say involved I mean he has a role - overseeing the contract negotiations and having the final say on the move. Ie if the player wants too much wedge he won't sanction the deal. Which is how it should be. In terms of the players brought in they will be recommendations from Adkins and Les Reed's scouting team

you'be probably posted it already, but who would you replace him with? I thought Holloway did a decent job, but he's out of the picture now. We have to be careful what we wish for otherwise we might get a Megson/Dawes style nightmare.
