  1. Bournemouth didn't quite rip us a new one, then.
  2. Unlucky.
  3. Unlucky.
  4. Unlucky.
  5. Meltdown.
  6. Not really. Finishing sixth once is not breaking into the top six. In the same way, Leicester City won't be a "Champions League Club" in three years time, just a team that got into the Champions League once.
  7. Quite. I was incandescent at the Arsenal cup team but happy with the Palace and Beer Sheva teams. I'm saying nothing about this team apart from its think that this side is perfectly capable of winning or losing.
  8. In contrast, Rudi Garcia, one of the other names in the frame that Les turned down in the summer (quite happy to say I wanted him following what looked like a decent spell in Italy) is muddling along in mid table nothingness - 9th - in L1 with Marseille. Who knew?
  9. I think the matches to compare are the "bank holiday" matches - clubs should have one of, but not both, of the Boxing Day/NYD (Monday) matches at home.
  10. Don't really understand what that thread is about. I like Bournemouth. I always happy whenever they won when they were in the lower leagues and I'm happy when they win now. They're having the best time in their history and good luck to them.
  11. Interesting. I say bring back the old tradition of a match on Christmas Day then the return fixture on Boxing Day.
  12. I've only just realised that we're not playing next Saturday, no one is. The frittering away of the proper Christmas schedule is happening by stealth, then. Saturday/Monday/Saturday is the bare minimum I'd expect in Christmas week. This is how it should be IMO - the Christmas schedule is the Becher's Brook of the Premier League season and shouldn't be watered down. Poor show. Well, at least this means England will definitely win the world cup now, or something. Happy Bloomin' Christmas. (....waits for MLG to say this year is the same as the last decade.....)
  13. How important has it become then? I want us to beat Bournemouth no more than I want us to beat Swansea or WBA.
  14. It matches my ambition exactly, and matches that of the actual human beings I speak to about Saints. It's only the dinlows on here that think we should be on an unstoppable march to the Champions League and that it's some kind of disgrace that we're not.
  15. Define rarely. In other news, we have third best goals against record in the division. And keep loads of clean sheets.
  16. And we're not going down. And our defence is top drawer. A decent striker away from being a very good side. Eaarly goals, or confidence that someone will put chances away and we'd see more fluidity. Tonight was poor again and frankly I was pleased to not suffer an ignominious defeat after all that possession. Let's all drink in the "a point at Stoke is a decent point" Kool-Aid.
  17. I've cleaned up on my insurance bet. £273 :-) :-) :-)
  18. There's drivel and there is drivel.
  19. I don't think we are tactically trying not to score.
  20. Just building up a bit of injury time to score that winning goal.
  21. We're definitely not not going to not score.
  22. I don't think I am going to see Saints score a goal again in my lifetime.
  23. Gut-wrenching Stoke goal imminent.
  24. Here comes Jay Rod so that means goals goals goals.
