Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
CB Fry replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
C4 News just described the perpetrator as Abu Hamza's right hand man. That means he is either his trusted assistant, or his ironmonger. -
I've got the Legend of the Saint single from way back. It has a charm. The rest look like a load of guff to me. Avoid.

Dont underestimate the power of forum dinlows.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

The spirit of McGuinness lives on. -
With your track record I suppose it isn't surprising that you can't actually understand how Comic Relief works.
-
He was the people's princess.

Most of Puel's substitutions look like he'd planned them days before to be fair. Taking off Tadic and mixing it up with a quick/impact player like Sims or Boufal to run at a tiring defence sounds like a sensible approach to me. Bouf was terrible on Sunday but that's clearly the best use of him for now, he needs to learn how to make an impact. He's the thing Dusan. What we want you to do is create enough so we are two goals ahead with 10 minutes to go. Job done.

He hasn't played for a year and was so fantastic and in demand that he couldn't get a club anywhere, at all, for not one but two entire transfer windows. We wouldn't have touched him were it not for the various fu ck ups we made in trying to get Jose's replacement in. So yes seriously. He was free, we were desperate, he'll be gone in June.

Indeed, LD. Pretty certain that Caceres is here entirely to provide Stephens with some focus. It's Jack's place to hold on to, Caceres really should only be needed if Jack or Yoshida get injured. I know some on here are desperate for our "big name" signing to play but really he's just a hired hand there for emergencies. As long as Stephens keeps progressing, it's his shirt.

Of course we want to be in the Europa League next season. And any season we can.
-
I must have missed all those telethons that Comic Relief have put on over the years that involve high-octane thrillers, kitchen-sink drama and contemporary dance.
-
The Comic Relief mission statement is: To drive positive change through the power of entertainment. So giving you a laugh is very much the point.

Searching "Fonte" on twitter is a delight. They effing hate him. 7 games before Jose joined WHU: 10 goals conceded. 7 games he's played: 16 conceded. Hammers legend in the making.
-
100% agree. He was useless at being corrupt.

Last week of the season would be perfect for us. Hopefully MUFC will be in Europa final and the top 4 places are settled. They'd have nothing to play for. Might be a little like our Stuart Gray season where those two wins against Arse and United nudged us nicely up the table right at the end.

I remember when we were in League One, Mark Lawrenson said we would choke promotion and Huddersfield would overtake us and we'd blow the play offs. Then we were in the Championship and he said we would choke promotion and West Ham would overtake us and we'd blow the play offs. Then when we did get promoted I remember him saying we were definitely relegated and he spent the run-in swooning over the "guts", "determination" and "passion" of Wigan Athletic who we were assured were staying up ahead of us (Final tally 36 points, down). And since then at any given opportunity he talks down, slags off, berates, writes off and generally pours scorn on anything and everything every single person involved with the club ever says or does. In fact I have never seen him say anything positive about the club, ever. Oh hang on. That wasn't Mark Lawrenson. It was somebody else. I wonder who?
-
And you're moaning about people saying "the club can do no wrong". Well, what did they do wrong, exactly, being that letting Ronald Koeman go into the last year of his deal would have been pretty stupid thing to do?
-
I have two cousins that support Motherwell and my Mum pipe-bombed a greengrocers in Enniskillen. Do I win?
-
The club have a prerogative to not let managers go into the final year of their contract where they hold all the aces. They'd be utterly retarded to let that happen and they didn't.

Who paid who?

My email to the club concerningpre-game music and atmosphere
CB Fry replied to sifter's topic in The Saints
As much as a tiny handful of fans try to make out that it is, that Woolston Ferry song is not a thing and never will be. Mainly because it's a pile of sh it. But also because its about something that even when it existed 40 years ago was irrelevant to half the city. But it gets sung by a handful of self-satisfied sorts with an air of "we remember printed fanzines" smugness. That song is basically the football chant equivalent of smug men with beards loudly speaking in Cornish in a pub in Truro because they are trying to "preserve the language". -

This. Come on people. This thread is incomplete without it. -
Sometimes you just have to stand and applaud. A masterpiece. 2/10.

...and Osvaldo was in the last set of accounts, covered to death on here.
