Amen.

Sounds good FF. I would be amazed if stripes couldn't be back for August. Surely the lead times on this stuff isn't that tight, especially considering how late it was left last season. .

"The team achieved, without ego" Ralph says. Bit harsh. He was there until January.

Am i the only one who thinks the club badge is naff?

Just had a look and I see Palace did consult their fans with options through the design process, which feels like the way to go. Our previous business mastermind may not have gone for that, but I am sure the new team would do. -

I am sure we could change it for a better design, Crystal Palace have done an excellent job with their new crest. Just don't make it a fan - designed effort. -
The same last year when Cortese tendered his resignation?
-
Liverpool Football Club has the advantage of being Liverpool Football Club in the first place. And Suarez got a massive pay rise to stay. And, unless I've missed it, I don't think we've sold anyone yet, have we?
-
Myth - making nonsense. He resigned, that's a fact, and that is walking out. The 'mediocrity plan' is just something in your head. If Lallana gets offered more than £100k a week to play for one of the biggest clubs in world football and he wants to go, then all the "non-mediocrity plans" in the world is not going to keep him here. Cortese scarpered before he had to face into any of this sh it. The football equivalent of Kurt Cobain in killing himself. All what-might-have-been myth, no responsibility to ever do any of it.
-
Let's just remember who the first person to walk out of the "project" was, before people start trying to denigrate the current management set up. So determined and focused on taking his beloved Saints into the Champions League he quit halfway through our second Prem season. Any player that goes in the summer will be doing nothing more than walking in the tiny footsteps of the first one to leave.

Humbug. -
Pretty perfect career really. Achieved everything you could hope to in his first six or seven years, and then spent the best part of a decade absolutely hauling it in from various employers for doing essentially no work while at the same time ploughing some sort from a girl band. Total legend.

I think registered users should be renamed "Freedom Fighters" in recognition of their struggle. Those guys are heroes.

The funniest thing is you think I have "missed the point" of your oh - so - grand protest movement, the centre piece of which seems to be you withholding five whole English pounds for the basic running costs of a Web forum. And then encouraging a few others to do the same. Amazing. Gotta tell ya, Wesbo, it's up there with the black power salute at the 1968 Olympics, it really is. You go, girl.
-
Nice bit of homophobia from Wes there. Kinda like what a troll would do. And you are threatening to go from about three posts a day down to, well, about three posts a day as a form of protest. Pompous, achieving nothing, and utterly pointless. A quintessential Wes Tender protest. Seriously, well done.

PLEASE SAY NO ONE WILL EVER LEAVE EVER. PLEASE LES. PLEASE.

Well, just enjoy it. This is the season we finished eighth. It is not the beginning of a decade of Top 6/European football glass ceiling shattering wonderment. Forget all that. If players or managers do exceptionally well at Southampton Football Club, they soon end up elsewhere. As it goes, we have the resources to keep more for longer than ever before. But not all, and not forever. The club will do what they can. But we won't keep them all and all the statements in the world are not going to change that. Just enjoy the season. We done great.
-
He could say "I am definitely not leaving Southampton". And in three weeks time, when Spurs make an approach, he could decide he wants to go to Spurs after all. In actual real life, nothing happens until something happens. At best Poch is Spurs second choice, so obviously there is no offer there for MP right now. "Saying something" really makes no difference. The speculation was dealt with as well as it could be and you are still paranoid. So who has got the problem? Quite frankly if you think Mauricio Pochettino is going to stay at Southampton for years on end you are going to be sorely, sorely disappointed. If he doesn't go this year, he's gone next.
-
Basically you have absolutely no idea what is happening. Reed's rebuttal the other day was one of the most comprehensive I have ever heard from a SFC executive, ever. If you want to dismiss all of it for the sake of your own paranoia then fine. But your suggestion is we should sack our manager the second he happens to be linked with another club in a newspaper. Because that won't make us look tin-pot, now will it?
-
Your suggestion is ridiculous. He is under contract, Spurs will need to request permission. At that point we then see if Poch wants to go and if he does we get on with screwing the North London yobbos for as much as we can. Saints "announcing" that we think our manager wants to leave would make us look pathetic.
-
What should they have done, then?
