  1. No mass exodus. Just Cortese venting to his chums in the press. They're lapping it up because with bugger all transfers happening it's the best story in town. Who remembers "MASS PROTESTS BY SAINTS FANS OVER ADKINS EXIT"?
  2. Anyone heard any thoughts from Dan Harding's father in law?
  3. Can anyone remember if Chairmen, Managers or Players have ever left Saints before? I think I can remember it happening previously but maybe I'm mistaken?
  4. You go into the finals of "most hysterical thread started this week" but I fear there may be a few stronger contenders over the next few hours.
  5. In fairness I am surprised it has taken quite this long for someone on here to drop the "we're a Laughing Stock" bomb. Two hours since the announcement. This forum is nuts.
  6. As long as any potential new Chairmen are fully approved by Luke Shaw's old man. Heaven forbid we upset his highness again.
  7. I wonder if Cortese gets a thank you mention in the programme for the Yeovil game? It would actually be a more fitting tribute if he didn't.
  8. We weren't bullied, we were skint. Original deal was for £10m. The poster I quoted said "huge knockdown prices". Even your "arse-fecking" was seven million quid. If that's a "huge knockdown price" then I think you may need a little perspective.
  9. Dean Richards? Kevin Davies? Theo? Bale? I guess you have only been a Saints fan for the last five years?
  10. Lallana won't leave Saints over this, no chance. Shaw would have gone in the summer whatever anyway. I think people are placing far too much value on how much the players genuinely care about all of this. I doubt they do, they will get on with it regardless of who the chief exec is.

    Will MP Leave

    A million times this.
  12. I think it's about time we moved on.
  13. The notice period thing explains the PR offensive and the feeding of stories to his chums in the press. Personal PR with an eye on next role. Smart work.
  14. Slightly hysterical, there.
  15. Well I don't really want to support a club that exists only on an infinite supply of free money. COrtese and co have spoken about sustainable success - if he can't do that, then maybe we should find someone who can.
  16. Missed the two straight promotions, did you?
  17. Fine. Cortese and co, then.
  18. Who is "they"?
  19. Quite an odd article, with big old words like "almost intolerable conditions" but no real feel for what is so intolerable. Which could possibly be interpreted as "she won't give me no more money off to the Mail I go". Anyway. We do our business "the right way", don't we everyone?

    Alan Pardew

At least it's a bit of full blooded offensiveness. Not like the stuff that SFC go squinnying to the FA about these days, like some old maid from a Jane Austin novel. Lord knows what our delicate souls in the SFC boardroom would make of that. I guess they'd openly weep.

    Howard Webb

On the contrary. Resident forum genius Wes Tender proclaimed our actions has forced the FA to seriously review the standard of refereeing across the country. Yes, our letter has done that. Not any other complaint about refs made by any other club in the past decade. Our one. The new dawn of refereeing started this week. Well done us.
  22. Newcastle, with a City win today, will only be three ahead, and they are more than capable of going on a barren run like us. Eighth is still on!
  23. This is one of the games we will play in the next few months where the opposition will want/need to win more than we will. If they have anything about them they should make it hard for us. MP's biggest challenge for the rest of the season is fighting against complacency. Luckily we're miles better than Sunderland and the pressure is all on them so 1-1 sounds about right.
  24. So if MP takes us to fifth in the table, that's "dire" is it?
