  1. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/referee-mark-clattenburg-cleared-over-2984483 "In a letter, seen by the Press Association" Cheers.
  2. Except I am not dismissing it out of hand. I am saying if it is true, then that means other things are true. Discuss those with your open mind.
  3. I haven't back tracked an inch. Have a look at the big picture rather than lame point scoring against me. Loving your line about the club not seeking trial by media. LOLtastic.
  4. Correct. People like Egg picking over irrrelevencies with no grasp of the pretty clear big picture. If he said it and Saints had put that in the letter, MC would not be reffing on Saturday.
  5. Fine. Believe it. Move the discussion on to why the club have left their team captain swinging in the wind, then. If there's a cover up, Saints have covered it up.
  6. 1. You're assuming they haven't, I'm assuming they have. Journos would have seen the whole thing and reported the most interesting bit. 2. LOL. Saints/Lallana don't have any insiders on their side. Okay then. 3. ...by stitching up their team captain. The weekend's biggest talking point would have been 'disgraced foul mouthed ref" if the club had come forward with that. Instead, Adam looks like a pr ick. Funny you don't seem to be interrogating the random poster putting up the "****" claim. Just assuming that's true then? Thought so.
  7. An insider who ignored the four letter foul mouthed tirade? Okay. Clatternburg said it. Why has the club left AL out to dry for three days of media pi ss take then? The club could release the letter and MC would probably never ref in the PL again. You think the club are that gutless?
  8. Because the press have seen the letter and if it had that phrase in it it would be on every back page in the country. And even for some strange reason the press decided not to go with the "Referee four letter tirade" mega-story then Saints, by now, would have leaked said outburst to the press themselves. If Saints really want Clatternburg gone then all they need to do is say he said that. They have't, he didn't.
  9. Don't believe that for a second. If that happened why didn't Saints put that in their complaint letter that they wrote? Not difficult is it?
  10. In fairness none of Man City, Man U, Chelsea or Liverpool are actually through yet. Still time for upsets. Come on Derby.
  11. How the hell do you know what Paul Haywood knows? He's one of the most respected journos in football and probably has spoken to a couple of players from that match. He's may well have spoken to Clattenburg. "Have you ever met Lallana?" give me effing strength.
  12. Lots of Dave Allen stuff on TV tonight. He had writers, you know. One of them was everyone's favourite activist Mark Thomas. Fancy that.
  13. Then we can have a tedious week arguing about which of the two games is more important. Fantastic. Just so everyone knows, the correct answer is the cup game is more important.
  14. Well done Saints. Strong team. If we go out now, well, sh it happens. I think we'll smash them four one personally.
  15. Of course he doesn't. Just his hilarious comedy troll routine. Get him to tell you how many points we'll need. You'll die laughing.
  16. We won't finish 14th this season. Now way. 11th at worst IMO. But even if we did, it isn't going to put players off. It didn't put Waya and Lovren off. Its a red herring to say potential signing are influenced by a 7th or 11th place finish.
  17. Oh, and one more thing to shut Strawman and NickG up. I have said countless times on this forum that this season I think we can finish eighth and get to the cup final. Probably directly to the pair of you. Definitely to Lighthouse and OldNick and other nutcases. So why do i need to start a dopey "choice" thread. I don't. And I haven't. Read the opening post again. Cheers.
  18. No it's not a choice of finish eighth or win cup or whatever you are saying. Would never start a thread that stupid. I'm not you. I am asking people to explain the magic of mid table finishes and how that is better than the magic of the cup. I think we probably won't win the cup. But going into March in the quarter finals of it makes for more exciting season than just the league program. But carry on completely mis interpreting my thread. You and Strawlock are quite a duo.
  19. 100% this. If not this season, when?!
  20. This thread is aimed at people who say the magic has gone from the cup on the other thread. It's a companion to that thread asking: okay, where is the magic in finishing eighth? As far as I can see there has never been any magic in that, and I can't see any now either. Everyone else has understood that but I am not surprised you can't. And nothing here about full strength sides here either. Keep making stuff up Strawman, that's two posts in a row on the same thread. Poor misunderstanding chap.
  21. What are you on about, Strawlock? What "choice" is being offered on this thread? Read my opening post again, slowly, and come back to me.
  22. Adkins excelled in two jobs. Warnock has excelled in more than two. Mick McCarthy has excelled in more than two. Not trying to be aggressive but want to make the point that these "great white hope" managers that crop up each year are simply managers who haven't failed yet. Let's see in three years time whether Dyche has been appointed boss of Birmingham or Sunderland or Forest and might not be a roaring success. There's always a flavour of the month.
  23. Because Sean Dyche is definitely not going to turn out like Adkins, McDermott, Warnock, Coyle and all the rest. Of course not. No, Sean Dyche is the real deal, honest.
  24. We are in the Premier League. You not noticed?
