Different for West Brom and Swansea, two solid mid table teams spending nothing like we have on individuals? -

Hate to destroy your illusion but I will.... that sounds like almost every single club that has ever been promoted to the Premier League. -
I really appreciate you correcting me on something I had clearly made up.
-
I have spoken to three members of the current QPR first team squad who went to watch said tournament shortly after finishing hot weather training for the day at 9:15am. They have confirmed to me that Dubai Phil was definitely at this hotel at the time he has said and was definitely looking at men.
-
Anyone that thinks now, or thought at any point this season that we will finish tenth is a moron.
-
Seriously? I think you may have been in some kind of coma. People on here have been banging on about our "amazing" form stats non stop, then gradually extending or contracting the number of games to whatever number made it look like we were guaranteed to finish loads higher than West Ham. All the horsesh it about us finishing tenth was basically extrapolated out of the "form" from one flipping game.
-
QPR Reading and Wigan down, with Saints finishing tenth.
-
Don't worry. Some div on here will come back with the 13, 17, 21 or whatever number of games it is that makes us look like world beaters and everyone else as sliding down the table. Our form is red hot. Fact.
-
We will win. I'm not spending four hours on trains, having painfully negotiated myself a weekend away from the missus and our two kids (one a 2 month old) on chuffing mothers day weekend to see us effing lose. We will not lose. We will win. Take that to the bank. Fact. Oh, and don't even think about snowing, Norwich.

RDM did well. He won the Champions League with a team well used to winning trophies and getting to the Champions League final. I'm not seeing much wrong with it. But he didn't build that team. He did well but doesn't convince me that he is some genius manager. Not sure he'd do any better at Saints than Nige or this current bloke. I'll assume you don't see any negatives in Avram Grant who was a penalty or two away from the same trophy?
-
Chelsea get through so many managers it is fair to assume that the core of that squad are more than capable of managing themselves. Di Matteo did not build a CL finalist team, just like Uncle Avram didn't.
-
Yes, they were different. But both had significant challenges. You seem to imply earlier that Lowe seemed to have thing easier because we were "established". I disagree with that, demonstrated by the immediate preceding two seasons we only scraped survival. Charging through L1 on the back of a Billionaire is no more difficult.
-
We were established relegation stragglers in a tiny stadium when Lowe took over. Some might say what Cortese has achieved has been far easier than what Lowe achieved (up to the end of the Sturrock season). And Cortese hasn't finished his tenure yet. Who says we won't ever go down under him?
-
There are loads of pros from Lowe's time at the club. Clearly some people never want to admit to any of them. Life's too short to bother detailing it as it won't change your opinion. Plenty of clubs habe been run far, far worse than Saints were in his time.
-
Correct. 60% is excellent. Lets hope the club stick with that.
-
No it doesn't. Far harder to actually build a team than take an already established one over. Say Fergie was hospitalised and out of action from Christmas but they win the league anyway - would that make Mike Phelan a wonder manager? Not really.
-
Forren is 25, Mayuka 23 this year. Not exactly callow, fresh faced kids. Not writing them off but they should be challenging for first team spots, Forren especially.
-
Right. You do it. Figure of speech. Anyone else does it. "Reading things that aren't there". "My beloved QPR" Genius. Another figure of speech I guess. Do point out anywhere, at any point, ever, me saying anything remotely positive about QPR and how they go about things. Take your time. Reading things that aren't there.
-
Who are these "many people" suggesting we follow the QPR model, as you suggest only a couple of posts up, then? Must be easy to name and quote them as heaven forbid you would "read whatever you want...even if it is not there". So do let us know.
-
Most of their new players are on massive four or five year contracts. But yes. There is only two ways to manage player recruitment. Our way, or QPR's way. That's it. Well done.
-
When we he ever learn? The Echo and this so-called "Legend" continue their anti Saints agenda. Not one word about how brilliant Cortese has been for the club in this. Not one word. This can only harm the club. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/10271597.Le_Tiss__Saints_can_emulate_class_of__94/?ref=twt

No wonder all the good posters don't post on here any more.
-
If we go to Norwich, set up like QPR and win I guarantee you won't be dissapointed, and I guarantee you wouldn't call it a lucky win. You would probably call it a tactical masterclass from our genius manager.
-
Indeed. In fact they've been nowhere near relegation all season. Pretty obvious they weren't going down weeks and weeks ago. Well obvious to me. I can't speak for the rest of the spanners on here.
