  1. They're above us in the table because their form is better than ours.
  2. At the end of the day the form table doesn't matter a damn. Only one statistic matters on the day. Shots on goal.
  3. With the information available at that time, that was the only reasonable prediction anyone could have made. The fact that we are not currently tenth does not mean said prediction was wrong. On the contrary it was the only correct prediction. Everyone else was, and still is, wrong. And have sad lives or something.
  4. 32 points from 28 games.
  5. The old eleven game form guide. It's everywhere these days, isn't it?
  6. So your "reasonable" prediction is based on the assumption that Saints would go on a Wigan style mega run winning pretty much every game until the end of the season. Right. Now I get it. And here's silly old me suggesting you were being fanciful. Well, don't I look the chump.
  7. None of it would have happened. We wouldn't have got liquidated, not least because of the flipping brand new stadium which would have been an absolute nightmare to turn into anything other than a football stadium. Richard Chorley would have handcuffed himself to railings for a month for a start. But in your mental little fantasy world you have the city council cheering a the wrecking balls down Brittannia Way. The Don Valley stadium really has no bearing on what may have happened to a top level brand new football stadium. Saints were in administration for a whole three months and you think we were on the brink of being wound up. We would have found a way, just like Luton and Coventry and Bradford and Swansea and every other football club in Britain who eventually come out of administration and then immediately start saying to the press and anyone who will listen how they were 24 hours/minutes/seconds away from being closed for good. You are a fantasist who thinks Pompey have "got away with it", and the idea that we were going to be liquidated is also complete fantasy. Anyway, this is a Pompey takeover thread and you are really not worth arguing with. Tell us how Pompey have got away with it again, always good for a giggle.
  8. Seven wins out of nine was great. Champions League form no less. Got Wigan to tent..th..oh, hang on. Fifteenth. Great example. Well done.
  9. There were lots of sensible reasons why we wouldn't win both games. Three wins in a row for a team in a relegation scrap is pretty rare and for you to glibly expect it is just naive. We've seen plenty of "sensible reasons" why we aint tenth played out over the last two games.
  10. So reasonable it has been abandoned after two measly games.
  11. There has been no new evidence. We weren't going to finish tenth a couple of weeks back and we aren't now. The evidence of us being nowhere near tenth all season has not changed in the last fortnight. All that has changed is your opinion.
  12. Only if you actually think that Steve can't get on with the rest of his life until QPR are relegated.
  13. Well, no. It's called "a turn of phrase". Well done Steve. A nicely written piece. Apart from the fact that Camara wasn't here before Arry....
  14. Norwich truly in dire, dire atrocious form. Terrible. Shocking. Like some kind of form car crash. Awful. A pitiful Six points from the last six games. Atrocious. Super Saints flying up the table on the march to tenth place have amassed a breathtaking five points from the last six games. Stunning. Europe here we come.
  15. Not panicking whatsoever. I've said we'll finish bottom five all season and stay up and nothing happened yesterday to change that, especially as Reading and Wigan failed to capitalise. We will do enough to stay up. Why all this talk of relegation? I thought the forum experts said we were definitely going for tenth?
  16. Not sure what ten years you mean as but we weren't involved in a relegation tussle between the 1998 great escape and our relegation under Droopy six seasons later. Between those points solid mid table. Until the Luggy/Wiggers/Droopy debacle we had become an established mid table team. It's only under the Cortese regime where we have reverted to our early/mid nineties role of being perrennial relegation strugglers.
  17. Yeah. Like that would have happened. Can just see the demolition of Saints five year old football stadium being waved through a Southampton City Council meeting. Just a simple rubber stamp exersize. Breezed through it would have. Christ. Seriously you are one of the biggest fantasists on this forum.
  18. How dare anyone say we can't finish tenth etc.
  19. So it's about staying up now? Interesting. Two weeks ago the general spaz web view was... "how dare you say we can't finish tenth of course we can finish tenth I can't believe the attitude on here we're well on for tenth especially as West Ham, Newcastle and everyone else above us is rubbish and our form has been brilliant if you only count the games we've won and of course of course we can finish tenth. We can definitely finish tenth" ...so why are you bringing up relegation? The rest of us have moved on from that. It's called "The Project" you know. Relegation aint part of it. Although, neither is finishing tenth to be honest. That's sh it and the kind of pathetic acheivement that West Brom do. Rubbish. Anyway. Get with project and stop mentioning relegation. Bringing us all down.
  20. Not that "far fetched" after all then.
  21. QPR have "let Redknapp manage" and lets see how that pans out. Lowe is far from the worst thing to happen to the club. But I am not getting into it. Sent from my GT-I9100P using Tapatalk 2
  22. Don't you think meetings like that have happened at all clubs in admin all the time. Luton. Coventry.Bradford. Whoever. They've all got their "24 hours from oblivion" story. We would never have gone under. Nowhere near.
  23. Have a look at Le Tissiers contributions post summer 1997 and think again. Matt didn't do much, and certainly did not "keep us up" by himself in any of those seasons. Lowe kept us up in the post Le Tissier era. Nice attempt at myth making though.
  24. Delighted I got some emoticons out of you. Your previous effort sadly lacking.
  25. ...does the article say different? You're the one bringing irrelevent third parties into it.
