  1. "what a sad and hollow existence they must lead". Not a straw man. Your words. Aint it a laugh this internets.
  2. I've outlined my dream and been sneered at. The fact you call it a straw man proves my point. "People like that" - judging people's entire lives on the back of whether they are fussed about their football club getting into the Champions League. Breathtaking stuff. Yes, its me putting up straw men. Well done.
  3. The main problem is the "dreamers" have decided that their dream is the only allowable dream. Your last line shows you are, in fact, a sneerer.
  4. He's behind you.
  5. Oh yes it is.
  6. Sorry. This is nonsense. It's not the customers fault if products and services are crap, and it's not apathy to decide that you "won't buy that again". Thats the market. It's down to brands, businesses and services to be proactive, and find out why they're not selling as much as they could. In short, if your product is sh it, its your problem. Your potential customer base will just get on with the rest of their lives. Rant over.
  7. Harsh on Cov. Wanted to see him take them back up. Udders really not much of a step up, just a bit flush at the moment.
  8. So what we've learnt this week is anyone who doesn't type out some words of sympathy for any random public figure on a football messageboard is an illiterate unfeeling psychopath. Internet sanctimoniousness taken to a whole new level. Well done chaps. Keep typing boys...it really helps.
  9. Funny he starts preaching about "human decency" further down the same post. Laughable stuff from our resident saint.
  10. There must be a word for over the top webforum sanctimoniousness. Delldays doesn't peddle out the usual platitudes and is now a "psychopath" and gets lectures about hypothetical soldiers... Come on then. You people who, like, really care about Gazza. Come on Barney Trubble. Great lecture earlier but what are you doing about him or for him? Let us know. Actual, tangible stuff please. Luckily you've had the whole weekend to take action, so there must be loads you've done by now.
  11. But what a goal it was.
  12. There's trolling and there's trolling but this is exceptional. Well done.
  13. I would like to take this joyous moment to point out that Nicola Cortese is still a total bellend. That is all.
  14. Well, we aint going down. Brilliant.
  15. I'd happily take a draw now. Still a bonus point.
  16. He didn't bring him in to keep us up. He brought him in to take us into the top six, as Trousers well knows. Not sure why our forum chum is already thinking about his relegation excuses. Staying up is a given. Its all about whether we make fourth next season or we have to reluctantly accept slumming it in the Europa.
  17. You don't need to read a blue whale to know it is gigantic, and that you are stultifying tedious. Don't flatter yourself.
  18. You have difficulty typing more than one without driving us all into an involuntary coma.
  19. Stop worrying bedwetters. West Ham are being dragged into it and are as good as down. And Norwich. And Fulham. And all those other teams with more points than us.
  20. The wind ups are the ones saying we're nailed on to finish twelfth.
  21. Err. I think Nigel Adkins is the Lawrie Mac in this story. Only a Lawrie Mac sacked a few months after we went up. The "stick with the manager" cliches really don't apply to us anymore.
  22. Nice try. We make a change and it results in relegation, that shows it was the wrong decision. Speculating about Adkins is simply that and thus meaningless. You can only assess decisions made, not ones not made. I thought you "understood the vision" better than this?
  23. I bet he would. Sacking him when we did was stupid, but sacking him after seven games would have been equally harsh and premature, and plenty of pundits would have said so. Oh, and Kev's name was in the papers yesterday. As a British football legend commemorated on a stamp. Good job he's doing interviews about massive old Saints to keep up his meagre profile. Fck me.
  24. It is pretty rare for a Prem manager to speak through an interpreter. It's a legitimate area of discussion.
