  1. Still a very decent return for the season so far, he will come good again once we start gelling better in the final 3rd
  2. About time. Need him back before Feb!
  3. Scousehampton please so we can further demonstrate how Elite those players are
  4. We are doomed now
  5. Yes it was Highbury though the Emirates has picked up the baton brilliantly. I just missed it when our away support decided to imitate them.
  6. 21st century - mobile working - never out of contact!
  7. Wooah there. There are plenty of girls who are properly passionate about football, knowledgeable, committed and sing and shout with the best of them. Most of those I know are not even slightly butch etc. Now careful you dont get stabbed to death by those women you think should only be in the kitchen
  8. Cash is King! As an insolvency practitioner I have seen many businesses fail and lack of cash is the most common cause. It sounds obvious but it is often forgotten or underestimated. When you do a business plan, be very realistic about your cashflow. Be pessimistic about when cash will come in - it will take longer to get paid than you want, for sure. Have a think about how you will encourage prompt payment (a modest discount perhaps). Be very thorough on what costs you have to pay and when. Get help with your cashflow, because you will miss things. From all of that, you will work out what your cash cycle looks like and how much funding you need to get you through. Good luck!
  9. Wow. Where did things change so much that people even started to think that noise is irritating at a football match?
  10. Fair play Lou. I was in the back row in the middle of our support so in theory well placed, but I appreciate that these things can be localised and hard to really judge. Have to take on board others views that our overall support was pretty quiet. Glad your mate was impressed!
  11. That used to be the case, now FFP limits the "money no object" approach
  12. Granted yes, it was for illustration though. Hopefully in future the injuries we do have will be to fewer critcial players like it is now with Jay Rod, Morgan and Toby
  13. Agreed. In fact the best bench (and worst problems of keeping people happy) is still to come. When Morgan, Cork, JWP, J Rod and Gallagher are all fit again, the bench will be very handy indeed and some regular squad players will not feature at all. I will start the speculation and say the bench could be: Davies, Cork, JWP, Gallagher, Yoshida (or Gardos), Mane, Long. This means no place for Reed or Targett, but as the above bench is quite attacking, it might mean no place for Mane instead
  14. This. I was next to a "cheerleader" too and, as did about 20 or 30 around me, joined in very happily. It was noticeable how the masses were silent for most of the time and only joined in on a few occasions. Amazing why so many are happy in silence.
  15. Huge pace, lack of control with and without the ball, sorry if that does not seem familiar. Agree he scored a couple, hence I was being a little unfair, but it was 9 goals in 5 years
  16. Been saying for some time now that he is the current version of Nicky Banger, but on reflection Banger was always played through the middle and hence did not weaken midfield, so I am being unfair (to him)
  17. Targett. Far better player, played here in the cup against Sanchez, Carzola etc. Would not have weakened us, could have pushed Ryan forward.
  18. This. Put in a huge amount of work both up front and defensively. Blazed over a good opportunity instead of finding Pelle but otherwise was one our better players last night
  19. Just back from the game. Agree with most of the above but the "dip in form" was back the other way tonight. Against quality opposition we were a much better shape and quicker to pass again. Yes, little real threat up front, with Pelle blazing the best one, but we coped with Cork going off and no Morgan. The Ref had a shocker offering them a free run at kicking our players. Using our 3rd sub to bring on one our worst players was very questionable. Very proud overall but gutted
  20. In the back row, via 2 pubs, friendly chats with some Dutch fans, lots of singing, brief catch up with Coxford Lou and now buzzing. 2-1 Saints
  21. Yes but early and from KX. Leave 11am
  22. I just arrived here. Hope some other non gunners show up!
  23. Yep, I know. Standard requirement for all the main well known away pubs IMHO.
  24. At least Pap will not be letting the gang down for this one, a la Stoke
  25. See main thread. Drayton Arms / Park whatever its called. Will be packed and its not the best, but its very close and once we get going it wont matter
