    JayRod

Could just squeak into the semi final 2nd leg too
  2. Toby might have spotted RVP was unmarked, or Bertrand calling for help as the kick was being lined up, for their 2nd goal
  3. He played well last night, but in true SWF fashion, that somehow now means he has been excellent in every game and not made any mistakes this season. In the same way that when he does make the odd mistake, he is then immediately nowhere near PL standard and should be shipped out. The reality is that he is decent enough for 3rd/4th choice assuming his wages are reasonable, but world beater he is not.

I know. Tadic was in the number 10 role, which Davis usually occupies. Davis was playing DM yesterday. Tadic needed to come off. Reed could have easily come on. Agree re Long, but actually anyone coming off for Mayuka made us weaker

Yes, just 18, tough game to make your first appearance but he looked lively and made a few decent touches. Have to say would rather Reed came on and Davis moved back to his normal position though
  6. He is carrying a knock (groin strain); thought the same about those two passes first half, but second half he laid one on perfectly, which Pelle blasted over the bar
  7. Think she intended to ease you in gently, like anyone should do after a long period away. First step is to get into the city and find a pub with a stream, clearly, dont run before you can walk
  8. Solent seemed surprised about that! How come they, and some on here, are not aware of his second recent operation? Will not be back until February at the earliest
  9. Really missed Morgan's energy everywhere, but for me the big miss was Davis. Understandably he had to play as a DM and did a decent job. Tadic took his role but is carrying a groin strain and is not the same kind of player. Too often we played balls up to Pelle but did not have players running beyond him - so often that is Davis who gets to the knock down etc and plays the next pass. Mayuka may be the next striker who is not injured but he is a waste of a player when he comes on. Utterly bemused that Ron put him on again after Arsenal
  10. So we should be able to sell you PP for £1, is that your point? I think you have earned a free
  11. Thats why he will join us, if he and his parents have any sense
  12. Dont blame them for being drunk already; they will need to be, as they will confuse which team is playing like they used to
  13. Yep saw that, all part of the love-in broadcast live from the Man City Campus. Hate the big cheese fest too
  14. 1) chelski 2) citeh 3) manyoo 4) saints 5) arsenil 6) everton 18th) qpr 19) leics 20) burnley
  15. Stalingrad, or Berlin. 2nd world war books by Anthony Beevor. Very detailed, insightful and interesting accounts of how both fell
  16. For now at least; there is no women's Champions League
  17. Thread title changed: FACT. link on BBC website contains nothing of substance: FACT.
  18. I have done. If your phone can access the bbc site then you can check link and the read the "story". Probably good practice before posting your dramatic thread
  19. All car drivers should spend two weeks riding a motorbike on the roads. I did it for 4 years before taking my car test and its a huge eye opener to taking notice of things like the conditions and road surface, but also just how terrible most car drivers are. On a bike you have to expect cars to not see you, to not check properly at junctions, to overtake when they should not, to drift over the white line at bends (happens frighteningly often), to not leave enough braking space and a host of other things. I am convinced it made me a better driver. On the subject of alcohol, I never touched it while on a bike, seeing as I had to check for potholes and gravel and wet leaves. In a car, I rarely do, but a maximum of one.
  20. No actual link at all in the story, just a regurgitation of the question from the Presser. Poor from them and you
  21. Tosser. Hope we win by a few and he can then moan about our players
  22. No. As posted by Ewell, Arsenal were not that special and happened to play us when we have been slightly misfiring up front. City were amazing but it is was not a huge surprise because they have been improving in recent games and they showed that in their next game too. City were always going to improve on their modest start as they are so strong, as they did last season. So I dont agree there is any raising of games going on, just they are essentially stronger teams we have faced while not playing at our best, which started at Villa. Hopefully we will build on Weds night against Utd and exploit their weaknesses at the back, injuries permitting.
  23. Sterling only player remotely good for Liverpool, plus limited time of Gerrard. Roll on same performance midweek please
  24. He was not very erratic in the against Stoke, he made 2 mistakes late on, when the whole team was under pressure. One of which nearly cost us of course, but didnt. Up until then he was rock solid against their big and physical attack, as he was against Arsenal. If Maya was left out due to errors he would have never played again long ago. He turned his back to Lampard (a trait of his) and made a mess of a clearance at Arsenal from which Wellback pounced. He did ok and I dont expect him to be faultless but I think Gardos has looked more solid in his couple of games. Maya may be quicker
  25. Mountain biking - its difficult, exhausting, technical and expensive. Its also a bit odd because you are supposed to enjoy getting dirty and hurt. I do it probably because I pretend I am 10 years younger (but I could not afford it then). You do see some women but they are 1) very much in the minority; and 2) usually with their boyfriends / husbands. Thats love. Definitely blokes
