  1. I really do think we would have drifted in the same direction as we have, and be up the creek without a paddle. I think we would be struggling in league one a little bit like the Oldhams of the world!! We also wwould not have had any interest in being backed. If we were still at The Dell we would have been left so far behind, in what now would have been around £13k stadium. Lowe did us good with the ground, so fair play to him..... the ****!!
  2. That is really good, and a great update..... we are all on the bus now!!
  3. Manchester is fantastic, one of the few places I would choose to live, along with Sheffield, Guildford, Reading and Brighton, the latter being my main choice. My company have an office in Manchester which I visit once a month and stay over night. I just like the place reallyt good, and the christmas do's are much better up there than the London ones.
  4. Well well!! lol
  5. Where are the 49ers always worth a punt!!
  6. I do not understanding the thinking behind tonights game and the ticketing prices. I was offered 2 tickets for free to go to tonights game, and even free I could not be bothered. I get up at 6am and travel into London for work, and I did not want to hang around, go to a game that we will win in the end but without doing anything special. Then I would travel home and get in after midnight, to get up at 6am again. England games just do not hold the interest for me that club games do, I would travel down for a home game for Saints, but not for England. Out of interest I looked on the FA Website and found that the cheapest tickets were £55, now come on with people struggling for money, and also losing faith in the Enland football team in general, I really think they need to take a look at their ticketing policy for these games. I know they will not look at travelling all over the country as it is the national home and they have a stadium to pay for, but I think that they would sell out if they did so. I have switch on the TV to watch tonight, but did not on Friday, only to see what I feared and many empty seats in the crowd. If the FA are not going to offer cheaper tickets for a sell out, then at least give the left over tickets to schools in London? I just cannot see the sense in it all, as it all comes down to supply and demand surely, like every other business!!!
  7. In one of his first interviews after the game against MK Dons we did say S****horpe instead of Southampton, but it must be hard after all the time he spent at the place.
  8. I still do not believe we need another sticker, we have plenty of firepower, but we do need a couple of great centre backs.
  9. Ok that did not come across right. We were not out ghost hunting, and all 5 of us thought ghost, and it looked like a shadow walking across a tree trunk. It might not have been, but who the hell was it...it was glowing!!

  11. I did used to go to Fitness first around 2002 in Shirley. At first we would do a full loop around the gym using all the equipment, starting with the excercise bike to warm up, a bit on the rowing machine, and then the weights, and then end with the sauna and steam room. Then it was the bike and a few weights and then the sauna and the steam room. This moved on to just the bike and then the steam room and sauna, and then we used to just go just for the steam room and sauna. Madness! I think I am pretty fit, but am slighly over weight and love unhealthly food!!!
  12. Seek and Detroy is normally what they close with to this day and is one of my favourite songs of theirs. They are still awesome live, and saw them again this year at Sonisphere. I saw them in 92 with yourself, and then not again until 2009, and have now seen them 4 times since then, they are one of the best live bands on the curcuit.
  13. Yep I do not think that the albums best to worse go in any order. I was speaking to a friend of mine about Metallica, and Kill em all has a couple of good tracks on it, one of them still hold up today and normally closes their gigs. Ride the lightening is a very good album with a more good tracks on it, and then Justice for all is a fantastic album and not to far behind the greatest of their albums Master of the puppets. Then from there it went downhill slowly with the black album, and then down hill rapidly, until Death Magnetic which is up there with Justice for all imo. Pulps best Album for me was babies, but different class was up there with this. Foo Fighters best album was the colour in the shape, not the first album. OK OK this could go on and on, but some bands have many albums and then make the breakthrough, just take a look a Biffy Clyro who have been around for over a decade, but it was not until 2007/08 that their best work started coming through, and then BANG the best!!
  14. We have a radio in our office at work, and we really need a rota for it. I prefer XFM and 6 music, but others prefer Smooth FM, Radio 2, and Radio 1. What is your prefered radio station?
  15. XFM, and it is so much better, and relaxing than watching the crap on the idiot box. I 100% prefer to listen to music than have the TV on, and if the TV is on and I am on my own, the music channels go on. Music all the way for me!! Sorry went off on one there! The specials - Ghost Town!!
  16. Arctic Monkeys at Wembley Arena a couple of years ago, just drab, and I love them.
  17. You do not need to waste your money on a gym, you can do all you need in your own home without all the equipment. Now even though I have an excercise bike, which I use a lot, I also play football, badminton and ref games on a Sunday. I also walk about 12 miles a week my house to Royston Station and then Kings Cross to the office. Saying all the above I use it as an excuse to eat a lot of unhealthy food, and all the excercise I do is for losing weight and fitness and not to tone, which I think is the main point of the gym. But there are toning exercises you can do at home as well. Gyms are a rip off, unless you enjoy them!
  18. Will be interesting to see how we respond to defeat, I am hoping that we do in a positive way, and that we do not lose are way. This is a big test, and I think we will bounce back with a very good win.
  19. Now I do believe in ghosts as to this day when I was 15 I am 100% sure I have seen one. It was over the Common near the play park in Southampton. Me and a few mates were staying out ALL night. We were all under the climbing frame, and a grey shadow was walking across the log. This was around 1am, and the place of course was deserted. We did not hand around and legged it. We all saw it, and I think there were 5 of us at the time. 5 people cannot be wrong!!
  20. Now you see I find this hard to believe, if I hear a slight noise in the night, there is no going back to sleep for me, so no being woken up again! With regards to this I would not be able to sleep at all, and would get up and walk around the house if I heard noises, and then look to shift the house on to someone else, or rent it out and move on!! lol
  21. Yep Beattie is on with the Skates lol.
  22. Fun on here, I think you have the wrong board!!
  23. Well he will be putting himself in the shop window next Saturday morning on Soccer AM. Maybe worth a listen to see what he has to say!!
  24. Well my local team are Royston Town FC, but they are playing in their FA Cup game tomorrow, but it is away. I go and watch them at Home so does not matter what day of the year it is either. Played 5 won 5, but have played a game less than Leverstock Green who have played 6 and won 6. Going to be a championship season!! http://football.mitoo.co.uk/LeagueTab.cfm?TblName=Matches&DivisionID=17020&LeagueCode=SMID2011
  25. Well lets hope the recovery is fast and we see him back in a Saints shirt asap!! Get well soon Dan.
