We have created plenty of chances though, just lack sharpness in front of goal for some reason!

I know this is probably not true, but it seems when any other clubs get a new manager they get off to a flyer if it is during the season and the club has had a bad run. Not sure on the stats for this, but it never seems to happen for Saints like that. I am sure the last time that we won a game with a new manager (there have been a few) was Alan ball? I went along to the game last night expecting things to turn around, and get off to a flyer and go on a bit of a run, but came away thinking 'What a mess' after the second half. I think it must be something to do with the fact that everyone see's it as a clean start and are out to impress the new gaffer, so why does this not apply to Saints?

I think the whole team need a shake up, but will give it a few games to put right. He has great ability but everyone seems to have lost there way a little over the last few weeks. I am sure we will come good.

I think that we need to stick with it and hopefully the form will change. With a bit of luck last night and taking the lead I think we would have won that game. See where we are at the end of October, but I am staying calm until then.

Time to accept that it is unlikely we will go up

Do not agree at all. Agreed we need to turn the corner but string some wins together and we will be right back in it. Did not start winning last season until October with minus 10 points and still nearly made it, and still had some very patchy form along the way. -
If he can get fit and get a couple of goals there would be no stopping him!

I live 38 miles away... you in Royston. It was not you in that ****ing truck that would not get out my way ha ha ha

We look completely toothless in front of goal, but managed to stick 4 past Bristol Rovers, and I really did think our season was off and running, but for whatever reason things changed 48 hours after and things have not looked right before the Bristol Rovers game or after. I really cannot work out why, and it is not the supply as we had plenty of chances and some of the shooting was woeful. The chances are there, but even in the first half we were over doing it when we should have shot earlier. The second half well do not get me started, should have gone home after my half time coffee!!
-
What happened in the second half? We lost our shape completely and were playing like it was the first time the players had stepped on the pitch together? Completely fell apart! Puncheon was terrible, and lambert had one brilliant shot in the first half after he got ****ed off because he did not get a throw in!! I think he should get ****ed off a bit more!

0-3 at 70 minutes and I would be more confident!

MUSE Wembley Stadium. This was the 5 time I have seen them, and it was the best gig I have been to ever. OK I say gig but it was more of a show. I have to say they took my breath away. Best gig was The Subways at the joiners when they first came on the scene... along with Razorlight at Southampton uni. What is the best gig/show you have been to?
-
True, but the way I see it if you are paying to go to New York, then to go and watch a popular sporting event while you are out there does not really make that much of an impact on the overall expense.

I always feel so bad watching Spurs and I really like their slick football.... does this make me bad?

Also reckon that Costa Coffee are going to see a shapre fall in turnover now.... that Costa may not be there much longer, best get down to it!

He has my 100% backing. He is now the Southampton manager. To get off to a good start would be fantastic and a platform to buils on. Even though he could not possibily be judge on the result on Wednesday, but a new manager normally gets off to a winning start. It would just be a great start with 3 points and imagine the lift that would give, and if we do not look back from that...... We could be back on track in no time. But saying the above, if we are not in the top 6 come at the end of the season i really do fear for the bloke, as AP worked wonders with the team last season and we have a better set of players and are in a better position than this time last season! Top 2 for me is a must this season, no excuses, or the 5 year plan we hear so much about is out of the window!
-
Just wondering if any of you knew if Scunny had any players that would improve our team/squad that Adkins could bring with him, on loan until the window opens? They are a Championship team afterall so must have some that we could nab?
-
Maybe a bit out of the way for me that one!
-
Just to show my support for the new manager I will now be making the tip to Milton Keynes. Who else is going? If anyone else is interested in going to the game I will be driving from Royston, and if anyone comes through this way, you can message me and park at mine and pick the car up on the way back! So are many more going to be going to the game to try and roar us on to 3 points and onwards and upwards?
-
No just poor light, that picture was taken late this evening I reckon.
-
Now lets get back to winning ways on Wednesday and get off to a flier and not look back!

Nigel Adkins red and white army!
