  1. I do wonder how much support Still gets from his backroom team - especially Trollope. He was brought in as an experienced head, who knows the sub-PL leagues, presumably to support and mentor Will. Any decent #2 should act as a challenger on decisions that are plain daft… I do wonder if he piped up at Blackburn when WS said “You know what, I think I’ll take Leo off and shove Jack into midfield to try and preserve our slim lead…”. Presumably not, or perhaps he was overruled? Anyone have any insight into the dynamic of their relationship?
  2. No one can possibly watch that and absolve the goalie of all blame (as he watches it gently bobble over the line).
  3. They weren’t ginger. Merrington was though.
  4. Easy tiger… (ref. Ball, Strachan, Koeman😉)
  5. Brendan Rogers is available? 🤔 Don’t particularly like him as a personality, but he knows how to develop a winning formula.
  6. I mean, I’d hire him just to hear the stories over a 🍺!
  7. Well that’s a better reason. Wasn’t aware he was that much of an ideologue.
  8. Wouldn’t be the first time…
  9. Me neither.
  10. Stokes, Ball, Channon, Horne, Beresford, Quarsie, AOC, Crouch, JWP… Redknapp. All had some form of P*mpey link, other than the last entry none have been totally shunned because of it.
  11. I’d be prepared to put that aside. Think he’s decent enough.
  12. Could see him going there.
  13. 1-2 (after going 1-0 up). Put your mortgage on it.
  14. He could school Quarshie on the long throw-in too…
  15. I bet he would… a step up to a much bigger club.
  16. Most did. I think people just need to grow up where O’Neill is concerned.
  17. Yes, 100%. He’s hardly Redknapp, and we accepted him at the time.
  18. Despite the past connections, what about Gary O’Neill? Always seems quite ‘no nonsense’ which is what we need…
  19. I feel for him, and really wanted him to succeed - and suspect he will in time, somewhere - but everyone who takes this job on also adopts the burden of SR’s failure and becomes their fall guy. They take a very large chunk of the blame for where we are. I’m not sure what the answer is now, but it’s becoming increasingly clear that Will will not be able to turn this around. I also question if he’s getting enough support from Trollope etc. - are those with experience giving him advice or challenging some of his decisions? A good #2 should do that. If he isn’t fired by Saturday, he’ll go after the PNE match - the pressure on that game is now immense - and I’ll put my 1-2 prediction in right now.
  20. Maybe Slot will be available soon…
  21. Doh!
  22. Steve Cooper
  23. Steve Cooper? Looking for work….
  24. Though he isn’t of course.
