When is the final final deadline? The league must have a date by which they are sure we can fulfil our fixtures or else they are duty bound to exclude us - we also need a manager, coaching staff, and team in place! First game in early August... gulp.

I think we're done with the Pinnacle group. Time is running out fast - time to tie up a deal with the Suisse and just get on with it...

Absolutely diabolical. Every single thing this club does is tainted by amateurism and idiocy - from statues of club legends to administration and 'buy-outs'. What we have done to surrounded by such ****-wits is beyond me. Tony Lynam, Fiasco (sic) and Pinnacle should hang their heads in shame - they have wasted 5 precious weeks and likely consigned this club to death. That will not be forgotten. All of this b0ll0cks about the 10 points being the issue is a smokescreen - they don't have a pot to p1ss in and they know it (hence Crouch having to pay the £500k deposit). Le Tiss and Crouch should have had a much closer look at what they were getting in to. Fry has proved himself to be totally, utterly and hopelessly out of his depth with an administration of this magnitute. Again, we have taken the cheap option and have paid the price - he needs to have a long hard look at himself. The Swiss are our ONLY hope now. If that doesn't come off it's the end of our beloved club and those listed above, along with Lowe & Co. are responsible. Have never been more furious...

About a barman in Southampton, just after Matt had retired coming up to him and saying "I know you from somewhere..." (Matt, thinking, yeah, well I have just played football in your town for 14 years!)... this went on back and forth for a while "you're a sportsman aren't you?" etc. until finally the barman said "I've got it - you're Phil Tuffnell!!!".

There's always an exception that proves the rule! McCabe's empire seems rather more significant than Fialka's (or rather, what we know of it so far). We have to live in hope though.

Frankly, I'll be glad to have a deal sorted, regardless of who it is, but I have to say I am unnerved by the reports on Fialka. What wealth does he actually have? Is it the "hundreds of millions" that Tony Lyname promised? Does a property developer have the commercial know-how to run a club of our size? (no disrespect, but property development is not like running a large scale organisation) I guess we'll find out, but I can't help feel a little let down with what appears to be the reality, after Tony Lynams previous positive posts. I still hold out hope however to be pleasantly surprised...

Feel somewhat better after that, but it is worrying now that this seems to be more than one investor, rather than just one. No problem with that per se, but Tony has always said he was being open and honest, so why this contradiction to his original statement?

Tony Lynam needs to come out and do some serious explaining. Where is the proof of this guys worth of "hundreds of millions"... surely he and MLT aren't stupid enough to have had the wool pulled over their eyes?? I'm starting to think that perhaps the Swiss bid might be a better option! (without any knowledge of it, of course!).

Is he British? Foreign? No mention whatsoever on the Times Rich List, so does he really hav the reported "hundreds of millions"??? Let's hope he is the real deal, but at the moment I am reserving judgement at present. Shame it's not Tabor or the Ineos guy, but this is Saints, so disappointments come fast and easy...

I agree. I can't see Pinnacle would have got this far without this backing, and TL has already stated that the backer has wealth to the tune of "hundreds of millions", so I'm quite happy to find out who he is when Pinnacle are ready.

I did too, thought he did alright tonight. To be honest, he knows as much as us, and as a fan is just in limbo currently.

I've always wondered why one of the "big boys" (Deloitte, PwC or someone) wasn't appointed. Might be more expensive, but would have got the job done in much more of a professional manner. As we know better than anyone at SMS - 'you pay peanuts...'
