Bit unfair, he was on the wing with 10 men. Broja also didn't impose himself at all when we had 10 men and was far too static, it's hard to play as 10 when the player you have lost is in essence your best creative midfielder who now has to fill in at rb.
-
Ralph didn't make two stupid tackles and get sent off you mug. Stop with your ridiculous crusade. Ralphs subbing of Diallo and Long changed the game and his decision to put jwp at RB was great one. He deserves a tonne of credit. 10 men is always hard but we dug in and won.

But why brush his shoulder? Silly really. No need to risk the other guy diving with no VAR to put things right.
-
He also had a couple of poor moments, a poor pass to tella when both through
-
Tough game. Valery owes JWP a pint. Longy earned his wages for atleast a few weeks with that. Broja and Arma anonymous. Diallo quality, all in all good work from the lads, showed cracking spirit.

If you have a smart TV: Click on the Iplayer app Go to "settings" by scrolling to the bottom Click "Settings and help" Click "Other settings" Click "change location" Click "Wales" from the list Then go back to "Channels" Click "One" Click "Watch Live" And it should be on there.

I'm sure this guy would tell you a 9-0 performance is a freak result and you should be more bothered by nine 1-0 losses than one 9-0 loss. Especially when you have 9 players out and are having to play players who are barely professional footballers.

One took a team that was a top 6 contender side, yeah lost a couple of key players but we did spend to replace them and absolutely crashed it. We have not had a bigger dip in quality in a side in years than we have between Koeman and Puel. The other took a team that was nearly relegated multiple seasons running and from the first moment turning up never had us in a relegation battle again and even had us pushing top half. It's not even close as a comparison for me. Puel oversaw our biggest drop in quality of the last decade, Ralph oversaw one of the biggest boosts in quality (bested by Poch from Adkins)

Gunna get flack for this but Alex Crook isn't always the worst source. He had a couple of massive high profile blunders but he has called a couple of things right, like he said we were looking at someone else when everyone else was saying we'd get Firpo and then everyone started saying it then we went for Perraud. Definitely wouldn't put him higher than tier 3 but to put him two tier below football insider who are absolute bullshit merchants who pump out 5 bullshit stories a week in the summer and I can't remember getting anything right ever is not really fair.

I think Elyounoussi, Redmond, and Tella all play well in the number 10 role as well. All often playing on the left most effectively despite being right footed. Also, I don't think being better wide precludes you being good in our "10" role, our formation is quite flexible and sometimes the 10s can drift wide and the fullbacks cut in field to fill the 10 role.
-
Surely the same logic applies at the cb position to no10 but more so. We have 5 competing for two roles at cb in lyanco, salisu, Stephens, bednarek, and simeu (maybe 6 with Valery but I think he will mainly play as cb in a back 3.) In the number 10 role we have 7 not including some exciting youth prospects coming through in redmond, stu, djenepo, tella, elyounoussi, Walcott, and Smallbone

Very funny, enjoyed that one

I thought Ralph said in the presser Salisu was suspended for Swansea, was only half listening though at work

I suspect they play Martinez Cash Konsa Mings Targett Mcginn Luiz Ramsey Buendia coutinho Watkins In Gerrards favoured 4321 formation with two 10s behind the striker. Coutinho looks washed up to me, was very poor for Barca to the point that he looked worse than their academy lads. Was not great for bayern either, despite good goals and assists return. Then again so did Lingard before tearing it up for west ham so stranger things have happened. The option to buy is like £35m apparently, which is a bit steep and makes it a less good punt than originally thought, especially if they are paying a big chunk of wages.
-
Have to say, it's the first time I've heard someone called plastic for showing up and supporting the lads, normally it's the opposite...
-
Ah yes, my bad, thought there was a reason he'd miss out. Sub in Elyounoussi instead, or Walcott. Redmond tends to absolutely batter lower league opposition, if you only saw him in cup games you'd think he'd be our best player by a mile. Because of this I'd normally want him starting but he's been our best AM this season and is a bit injury prone so would rest him.
-
That would be an incredible signing, but so would JWP or Smith-Rowe who they chased in the summer and didn't get, I think sometimes their targets are more ambitious than their outcomes.
-
I think we could spend £30m if the deal was right, but I doubt we would over 2-3 signings at the £10-15m range. If we sold JWP I would be very surprised if we didn't spend a lot of money replacing him though. It's all very well buying players to develop but we need a core of quality to keep us up and keep us playing right and no one is more important to that than JWP.
-
I doubt we start Broja tbh. He is one of our most important players right now and has picked up a couple of injuries already. I would definitely rest him for Brentford. I'd go: Willy Valery Stephens Bednarek Perraud JWP Diallo Stu Djenepo Armstrong Tella
-
It depends on option to buy. I think if they got a low option to buy (about £20m or lower) then it could be a very smart signing. They risk ~£4m or so in wages and could end up with a bargain option in the summer, if it all backfires that sort of wage isn't going to hurt them too much over 6 months.

Hope our new stat expert has looked at xG prevented last season. Might give a good push to replace McCarthy with Johnstone.
-
I hope Gao took that trophy with him!
-
St Gallen an answer on pointless this evening, what a coincidence. Pointless answer too!
-
Probably because he isn't starting and that's hurting his development and value. Probably will look for a follow up loan to a lower level. Will unlikely be prem level but with any luck we can get something for him.

Simeu and Small were rated high enough to get a move to Saints as their most recent move, a pretty big side really if you consider us within Europe as a whole. Jankewitz is trying his trade at St. Gallen, who are decided not a pretty big side.
