  1. Was that 'the' evil monkey, who has been the occasionally funny 'bit of a c*nt' on the board for ages?
  2. I did, actually. I knew it was belonged to someone but no-one picked it up when we went, so I thought I'd take it for next week.
  3. No it's not.
  4. Didn't see those bibs botley.... Damn, today was H-O-T-T. Not a bad game considering, though - excellent numbers, but I didn't feel it was too many.
  5. A point I would raise is that it's very easy to blame whichever government is in power at any time on most given themes - but you have to ask, for all governments - would the oppostion really have done any different? There is a certain amount of political pragmatism that tends to govern our democracy, certainly with the current status quo. It's very easy to whinge and be critical in opposition, but it's entirely possible the tories would have pushed things the same way. In an age where party politics has become increasingly centralised, it's hardly a wonder that many who might once have been engaged in the political process have become so disillusioned.
  6. OK so yeah, it is def me +2 today.
  7. If violent crime etc has risen, it's more to do with systematic problems with society and our culture, in my opinion. The police are there to respond to crime, really. Their role is inherently reactive, and as such, a rise in crime cannot be sensibly laid at their door, at least their door alone. Proportionate convictions, arrests etc is perhaps a different story, but resources will clearly be more stretched if crime rates rise without a rise in personnel with it.
  8. I still have a +2 that may well come.
  9. I and my mate are likely, plus a possible two others.
  10. If Spades gets to mention flciking it over people's heads, I'd like to mention doing it twice.
  11. And violated?
  12. I'm not totally against it; I think he'd try to do things properly and have good discipline, work ethic etc. Whether or not he'd be a success, who can say? Not many thought Roy Keane would have as succesful a season first time round, and let's face facts - we're not going to be getting Ancelotti, Hiddink, Wenger... less so than ever in league one. I wouldn't be totally aghast if he was appointed, provided he also had a decent back room staff and was willing to apply lessons he learned into his practise.
  13. That is on a par with Oscar Wilde for quick-witted intellectual quips.
  14. I am not working today, thankfully. Instead I shall be going over a friend's house to help celebrate their son's 5th birthday. This will hopefully consist primarily of eating free food and drinking.
  15. Shut up Stanley. It's almost unbelievable how frankly bizarre your so-called politcal views are.
  16. I liked the way he took literally two minutes to get up. Lazy ****.
  17. The heat took it out of a lot of people; work rate wasn't the greatest today. Still, enjoyable enough.
  18. You knew thwy already needed cleaning, given what you disclosed to me earlier.
  19. Bit hard for studs, no? I'll bring both either way.
