What a shame it isn't Nick Holmes. Now he would be a real asset. The left side of midfield would be his territory, and nobody elses.

Oh dear... Skylarking. This could end in XTC.

This is what I like - good advice..! I'm glad I started whinging now. Cheers for that. I'll do a bit of that when I'm sober enough [ah-hem]. Btw, also ta, Pancake.

Michael Hedges - Watching My Life Go By; followed quickly by Michael Hedges - Aerial Boundaries [both for the umpteenth time]. That latter one is why I picked up the guitar after 35 years of looking the other way. Now I'll never be able to play like Hedges could, but I'm OK with that. When I was a teenager, the enormity of the task, and the fact that I wanted to play well, or not at all, meant that I denied myself the chance. Well, not now. I can play badly and listen in absolute contentment to a virtuoso. The way MH got such dynamism, drama, and delicacy from a 6 stringed instrument is compensation enough.

Ah balls. Saw some trailers for that, and wondered whether the content might be worth all the song and dance. Of course, if I was really bothered, there's always CH4's watch again facility. No doubt, it'll be on More4 though later on in the year. All this choice is sooooo taxing.

Yes, and the whole bottom section are improving in various degrees. If Saints hadn't got a move on, we could easily have been bottom. But there a few teams that have not responded as well as others. Norwich and Charlton are obvious examples. But Blackpool and Barnsley are amongst others. The key movers were Notts Forest and Doncaster Rovers, who picked up their petticoats and skipped away a few weeks back, although Forest have since failed and had to go again. The 3 wins in 3 games mean that Saints are obviously the best at the very bottom, and so if they can maintain half that form, throughout the rest of the games, they should survive. The question is... will they..? Here's a link to current form. As I said in another thread, I'll have a glass of what they're taking at Donny, at present: http://www.4thegame.com/statistics/championship/tables/currentform.html

Better say HB before another member says they've been completely ignored. So, Happy Birthday. Gosh, I remember 27. Vaguely.

Wotte appears to be playing the psyche game quite well. Putting all the pressure on Birmingham City, while leaving the impression that SFC are going to enjoy the challenge of beating them.

Have to admit, the Nigel Mansell / Nelson Piquet duel takes some beating. But there are 5 in all: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7924981.stm

Don't suppose you have a tabs-link Pancake..? The guitar has been in the family since 1973-74. Bought completely new then, it's almost in identical condition, having hardly been used. I walked into Fret Music the other day and almost laughed at the quality hanging up with typical price labels of £120 or more on them. A musician friend looked at it yesterday and reckoned way over £300, and he said he was being cautious. Trouble is, I'm not good enough for this guitar and I know it.

And what happens if you leave the XBox playing alone for about a month..?
-
Interesting. I've based my prediction on our form, with a huge dose of realism added. I honestly think we might have a chance now, so explain how you have us being relegated, as there are plenty of teams who seem to be willing to commit suicide and take that 3rd spot.

My awful guitar playing. How that hell do you get from G to F [E shaped barre chord] in a spilt second after every other line..? http://www.accessbackstage.com/america/cord/cord002.htm I'm not getting frustrated. It's great fun. I'm just not able to visualise my fingers moving that fast yet. Ah well, back to the grindstone.
-
Completely unknown to me, that one. Did you invent it BTF..?
-
Since 1989 [i remember it well] I've had less than 100% sensation in my left-hand little finger. I got it from holding a phone to my ear all day/every day for about a month, while working. I reckon it was nerve damage from having my elbow continually perched on the table in front of me. It used to affect the ring finger next to it, but not now. Some days are great, and occasionally I get a bad one. Peculiarly, it doesn't stop the finger from being useful, as in helping to play the odd guitar chord. But it does feel bloody odd at times, and can be painful too with the pins and needles.

Jeez, you expect me to get that without explanation..? I'm only a humble football supporter, not Sherlock Holmes..! And where's my racy photo then..?
-
So one of the form teams of the Championship [Doncaster Rovers], currently lying mid-table, on 46 points, are going to finish below Saints. Yeah, that's some realistic research. What did you do, flip a coin or something..?
-
You're going to have to explain that one for me Pancake. Pop across to the other forum if it's an essay. Cheers.

Give Evolution a few million years and it comes up with some real beauts.

Just logged in, in a similar [ah-hem] way, and you're right, there is no facility. Sorry about that. Perhaps we'll see if that can be amended.
-
Really..? I'll look into that for you.

Ta. Scummer said it was crap. There's thanks for ya. He doesn't consider for a moment that using this facility won't plaster the webpage, you might be on, with a huge picture. Oh no..!
-
I never discuss anything when I see the order to discuss in print. Reminds me of school.
-
Didn't say it was the last wonder Scummer, but it is there for people who don't want to/can't use 3rd party hosts. The thumbnails, in this case mask the details. It wouldn't be the same in a picture.

Here's how to produce a picture/document/whatever on the website, using the website's own facility: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=10919 HTH too.
