  3. The Narrow Way - Pink Floyd Beyond superb. Magical sounds. Proving that they were at their very, very best at this time. Way before the dirge that their music became. EDIT: Forgot, it's Dave Gilmour.

  5. Stumbled onto Rock Family Trees on BBC4. A repeat from the 1990's and a great series. At the moment it's concentrating on Black Sabbath.

  7. Puncheon's goal was top class. Very little backlift and preparation, and curled into the far corner. But I thought all the goals had something about them. For example, Lambert's assist for Papa's goal was inch perfect. On that note, try watching the highlights and pay special attention to Lambert's layoffs and flick ons for goals and near misses. He does it all the time, and they are damn near perfectly excecuted.
  8. I know exactly what you mean, LGTC. In doing the Predictor, when you look at the fixtures, you can see how things have unfolded, and can unfold. In fact, I would recommend anyone to do the Predictor, just to have a look at the upcoming fixtures for every team. You can quite easily see where Saints might make up the ground, providing they keep winning and drawing, and where other teams can, and will, trip themselves up. If we win all our remaining games, we can make the playoffs. But can a Saints team be that consistent..?
  9. It's entirely up to Jaidi really. At 34 [birthdate 30th August] If he can keep himself fit and effective, he'll be brilliant. As for lack of pace, is there any striker in League One with enough pace and guile to exploit it..? Not sure, but I think we've got them all. The CCC would be a different proposition.
  10. Well, they were never the funniest bits anyway. Forgot to mention the David Blaine spoof. Very good.
  11. Turn it into something a bit special Stu, and do a feature on here. I'd like to read of your progress, and what the lack of things are doing to you. Back in May 2005 I gave up cigarettes because... well I had to. I wouldn't be here, I think, if I hadn't. In early January, this year, I drastically reduced my alcohol consumption to maybe a couple of glasses of wine per week, or less. I honestly don't feel any different, which is odd because I did drink quite heartily. I've never really over-eaten, or eaten crap, junk food like MacDonald's. I've had the odd bit of KFC, but that's about it. So I'd be really interested, and I'm sure plenty of others would too. Perhaps you could write a blog.
  12. Ever tried Lidl ketchup..? I think they do two kinds, one that is cheap, and the other that they pay you to take away. The really cheap one tastes like ordinary ketchup. The more expensive one is superb. Better then any easily purchased tomato ketchup around, and quite a lot better than most organic ones, I've tried. Which is a shame really, because I usually can't be bothered with ketchups. BTW, is that casserole still in the oven..?
  13. Flicked through the channels and noticed Bo Selecta on 4Music. I'd forgotten how funny it was. Michael Jackson spoof - shamone mutha f**ka. You can be a hero but you can't disguise your massive mooolllllle and Crrraaiiiiig David - Proper Bo himself.
  14. Sorry. The post should have come with a health warning.
  15. If you can get one cheaply enough, spend out on a bike lift, if you haven't got one already. For a project, it'll certainly make working on the bike much less of a pain. They're bloody expensive normally, but you should be able to get a secondhand one for £50. It'll also make servicing the bike easier, if you intend to do your own.
  16. Oh I see. The person who created the no-society society. Who plunged the working classes, who were the least equipped to cope, into an era of unemployment. Who carried on with a Poll Tax, that was hugely unfair, and unpopular. Who left a generation anxious, fearing, uncared for, and uneducated in the wider world, because they couldn't find work to keep their dependants. These were sons and daughters of people who had grown up in full employment, and so they hoped and expected to be able to do the same thing, and work. These are the people who make most of the wealth in this country, not Prime Ministers. Without them, Prime Ministers don't actually represent anything. These are the people Margaret Thatcher cast adrift and managed to get us to love her for it. The working class can't employ excellent spin doctors and PR experts. Before you touch that keyboard, please don't tell me how you pulled yourself out of your bad surroundings, with your own effort, because I did the same. But if everyone could do it, we'd all be in the same sinking boat. It's lucky for some that there are less capable people around. We all stand on their shoulders. I suppose I'm saying no state funeral for Maggie.
  17. When I lived in New Zealand, the TV companies used to show a projection of the globe, as their backdrop, but with NZ in the middle, rather than on the edge [or in some cases I've seen, not there at all]. S-i-P can confirm if they still do. Something like this:
  18. Big Ben
  19. Oh..! Which kind of shows how frequently I get into town, these days.
  20. So the ZL600 didn't happen..?
  21. I told you..! I'm a witness, LGTC.
  22. In the past few days, I've seen and read posts from Saint-Scooby and Scoobysaint on this hallowed website. Please tell me I'm not going to be reading tales of the flatcaps and Lord Lowe, within the next few weeks.
  23. If nobody uses it. it'll close. I remember being told a story of a MacDonald's opening in a fairly well off Italian town. It closed after 3 months, due to a lack of customers. Everybody wanted to eat home cooking, or go elsewhere and eat proper food, rather than the sh!te MacDonald's served up. What one town can do to MacDonald, a city can do to Tesco. However, I won't be holding my breath on that one.
  24. How did that happen..? What happened to the Kwacker..? Now that's more like it. Trumpet too. Nice bike.
  25. Same here. I don't feel England players are representing the country anymore. Besides, about 20 years back I decided that my other country, by family connection, Italy, were worth just as much attention. And they've proved so, ever since. But really it's Saints and nobody else.
