  1. hahaha, we all have those in the office!!
  2. It's a simple fact that some players fit in at other teams with the players, staff and fans. Some players won't do well at Saints, some do. Look at Kevin Davies and his first spell with Saints and then his Blackburn spell? Saints could sign the striker with the best goal-scoring record in the Prem, but is he doesn't settle and doesn't gel with the staff, he'd be sh*t. I also think that maturity has a lot to do with it. Best wasn't brilliant at Saints and wanted out, whether that's because he hadn't settled, thought he was bigger than were Saints were in the league or a mixture of both, he wasn't right. Fair play to him for now scoring a hattrick in the Prem - but doesn't mean he'd settle and do it here. He may well do, but we're not going to find out, so it's a pointless argument. Ahem. Grump.
  3. This thread is funny, looks like we all have some minor OCDs, but obvioulsy nothing that interrupts with our daily lives like some people! I do things in 4s; check the front / car handles Stereo in car / at home etc has to be on even numbers Items can't touch on the dinner table and should be in alignment The toilet roll has to be on the right way round I get cross about toothpaste tubes not being squeezed at the bottom and so on!
  4. The gimp from Pulp Fiction??
  5. I couldn't give a stuff about the takeover mess, what happened happened and we ended up with a great owner and a good chairman (when other football chairman are considered). So no complaints from me. Anyway; I'm currently reading this book, is a really good read, but only because I'm a Saints fan. I don't think non-Saints fans would necessarily read it. Before that, I read Roy Keane's book, which was absolutely superb, one of the best autobiographies I've ever read - really well put together, great stories and you do end up liking the guy a bit!! Also, there were less grammar errors than in Matt's book ... !! But, it is a good book, really interesting and I'm enjoying it. It's good to read how he felt about the various managers, especially Branfoot.
  6. Fkkn PMSL u r so funE hun, fkkn luv wot ure sayn LMAO xoxox bet ure havin a gud nite xoxox
  7. Boring pr*ck.
  8. Sorry mate, that's a f**king disgusting thing to say. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
  9. Any reason you can't bloody search for it yourself? http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&expIds=17259,27585&xhr=t&q=walsall+fc+undersoil+heating&cp=28&pf=p&sclient=psy&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=walsall+fc+undersoil+heating&gs_rfai=&pbx=1&fp=64956a2742cae788 http://www.google.co.uk/#sclient=psy&hl=en&q=walsall+fc+away+fans+guide&aq=0v&aqi=g-v1g-o1&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&pbx=1&fp=64956a2742cae788 'kin hell!
  10. Do you post the same thing every time you don't agree with comments? F*cking dull c*nt.
  11. To be honest, I'm not and I don't think we should worry about them. I few losers with weird vendettas trying to derail what's been and is being done. Whether it's someone with an axe to grind, or someone trying to get a club with no debt on the cheap before we climb the league(s) and become more expensive; I don't care. They are boring. Good stuff that I'm reading, all very positive. Was anyone "cheeky" enough to ask how much dosh we have to spend? ;-)
  12. Sorry Norway, I think you’re confusing what the original whinge was about; it’s about people’s general laziness and apathy towards using the correct spelling and grammar and not knowing their tenses and so on properly. You’re alluding to something different, there are some people resistant to change and still those who idolise the way English was spoken 70, 80, 90 years ago. When was the last time you heard someone use the word, thrice? Great word though! Of course languages change and evolve, that’s a given, otherwise there would be no word for what I’m staring at (monitor), the medium I’m using to transmit the message and so on. We’d still be grunting around. Mind you, I see many Londoners doing that every day anyway. My English tuition at school was quite frankly, crap. I was primary-schooled in the early to mid 1980s, when English seemed to be a forgotten subject. I have however over the last 20 years made an effort to learn more. But then I do have a thirst for learning and would rather read an autobiography or non-fictional book on the train rather than something fictional. Maybe I’m dull! Anyway ... I really don’t think it’s hard for people to not use text speak and not hide behind the fact that, “as long as it is understood”; Your, you’re. There, they’re, their. Could/would HAVE. CDs, DVDs, ‘80s, 90s, FAQs. Affect, effect (as per the original post). Won’t, want, will not But it’s not just that, it is poor sentence construction and bad use of apostrophes and connectives. Some of the old English rules we were actually taught at school are ********, such as not starting your sentence with ‘And’. You can. Some of the worst grammar and construction happens to be in some of the newspapers. The Sun can often be appalling as can some of the Daily Echo articles when I read them online (I don’t mean you, Dan K!). The BBC online news is dreadfully written half the time, almost like it’s been written/drafted by Neil from the Inbetweeners on work experience. Anyway, maybe I am a boring, grumpy old fart, who cares, it bugs me and I like to moan about it. I like to moan about a lot of things, the pronunciation some of our newsreaders and presenters come out with is another ...
  13. There are loads of weird ones from Eastenders ... Tanya, Jane Beale, Stacey Slater, Janine ... she's probably the weirdest crush, but hey ho ... http://holysoapcdn.five.tv/assets/images/950/20090623T120932_Five_Soaps_News_1-1_1245755441_large.jpg?1245755416
  14. I don't understand why you want to do this? As a software type, surely you know that some of these guys deserve the small rewards they get? If people find a way to get round your £5 payment thing to post 100 posts a day, for free, you'd be down on them and they'd be banned. Just an observation!
  15. Really?? I thought you were about 13!
  16. "forecast".
  17. While I'm on the subject, ones that do irritate me and that are used frequently are: - Aim for the low hanging fruit - The biggest bang for the buck - Triage it (!!) - It isn't rocket science (no, clearly it's f**king not, dinlo) That's a few, I'm sure I'll think of more to annoy myself.
  18. Nothing wrong with close of play - close of business is better. I use it when demanding deliverables, i.e. "I'd like that back by COB Tues xxth". It works for me. Equally, nothing wrong with proactive. It just means doing/anticipating something before it happens really. I don't want people who are reactive, i.e. sit on their backsides waiting for whatever it is to happen and then be told. Those are 2 very useful words. DSM - you're boring.
  19. Alezan leather, got to get the terminology right ;-) The volt meter is a gimmick, or so I thought until my alternator started dying. From memory they normally read around 12.5v, that day mine was hovering around 5v. I had the sound system on loudly (that is a big, powerful, battery sucking subwoofer), lights on, wipers on, drained the battery more and more, the volt meter eventually read 0 and the car died
  20. Sunset orange? GT pack? (Bose, leather etc) Sat nav? Rays alloys?
  21. Have owned 3: 53 plate GT, 276 bhp 54 plate GT, 290 bhp 58 plate GT, 313 bhp By far the pick of the bunch is the last model (313 bhp - with the bulge on the bonnet). It has a longer rev range, is quicker (obviously), sounds more meaty, but above all else; is far better built than the early models. The interior is more solid and feels nicer to the touch. They aren't as cheap to run as you may think, I had over the history of all 3: Tyres; £300odd each Front brake discs; £750 Alternator died on the 53 plate - Nissan wanted £1450+vat, but I sourced one via the owner's club and did it for £400 Something to do with the cooling system also died on the 53 plate - Nissan wanted almost a grand again. So I gave them some cash and got the 54 plate on their forecourt With the newer one, the car tax was £405/year I averaged 19 mpg - and you really need to put in 98 or 99 octane to keep the engine in best running order. Anything less makes it all lumpy and unresponsive (I did actually average 30.1 mpg on a late night drive to Birmingham once from Basingstoke. Drove at 60 mph all the way not going above 2k rpm. Not much fun!) So yes, absolutely amazing cars, I got rid of the last one last Jan. Got fed up with not being able to drive it in the snow, the cost of car tax and the mpg. Got a Qashqai instead ...
  22. Why do you care if you're "banned" from using a forum? Who cares, life is too short and there is too much else to be concerned with!! My 3 posts used up, ah well, chat in a few months.
  23. God, it's all a bit f*cking serious this forum business, isn't it?? *sigh, eye rolly thing etc*
