Well, obviously the lager-louts got here first! And I haven't got a beard. And it is feasible, but not to anybody who doesn't know what they're talking about and has a "that's difficult" attitude.

I was reading an article yesterday about Novara who have just been promoted back to Serie A for the first time in 55 years and after being in the semi-pros until a year or so ago. Their stadium holds only 10k although they're talking of expanding to 22k, but they've built themselves a big training centre along with function rooms and restaurants. It slightly reminded me of Saints in that they are getting their priorities right with the infrastructure. It's really pulled the town together and reminded me what a successful team does for a town. So come-on Saints, on 23k+ crowds we can get to the top division! Might pop along to visit next season. Juventus is a bit nearer but it's full of plastics. Would be a good place for a pre-season tour....

You are, but the whole point of doing it is you have to isolate your system from the network, obviously. That's why it's called islanding..

Have you ever installed on a property with a tenant? I currently live abroad (and probably for the next year or so) and am renting out my house, worried that the FITs will be withdrawn and inflation is eating into my savings. I'd want Sharp panels and as Pugwash has pointed out, a decent inverter. In a PO post code and not in the country so the local distribution network is fine and I wouldn't worry about "islanding", S facing roof but only a terrace so about 3kW max I'd imagine.

Something English would be better: how about Spem in Alium which is a 40 part motet: divide the crowd into 40 groups...

Toyota has better reliability stats than Merc: http://www.whatcar.com/NonCar/361010339480.jpg OK, so my question. Why does time go so slowly during the summer football break?

If Turkish is against it I'm all for it! Not sure my whistle would make much impact, but I've got a much noisier instrument on which I can play OWTSGMI to get the crowd (and particularly Turkish) going.;-)

Find someone you trust with a wood-burning stove - it makes great kindling and fire starting material and will them a bit of heat into the bargain. Anyway, you think you've got it bad - I'm a language teacher of various different levels from elementary school to adults and often keep materials "just in case". Plus I have to deal with two different tax systems... When I get back from the UK holiday this year I'm going to have fun with a new shredder and my wood-burner friend will have bags and bags of firelighter!

Thun was OK - a day trip for me and the Swiss Saints fans: hello again to the scientist I sat with in the main stand! Had a swim in the lake and a lunchtime beer in the lovely little town. What's not to like?

I went to Anderlecht the posh way as Dad got me a priv BEA ticket as he worked for them and I made a weekend of it. Being posh like, I wandered round Brussels and went to an art gallery or museum, but yes, I may have had a beer or two. But not as much a some of you lot!! Chanson d'Amour still sticks in my brain, the stadium was decrepit and I remember (correctly?) Osgood losing the ball on the half way line for them to score. One of the Resenbrincks was playing for them - oh gawd, I don't know, perhaps I did have a few beers.

Guinness, bit of fishing, playing the tin whistle?

Lausanne or Martigny would be handy for me, and perhaps they'll nip over the border into Italy. Mind you, think I'll be in the UK!

Well it won't be Pompey because the League make sure there are no derbies on opening day. Hope it's a home game as should be over, and I believe there's a midweek match at the beginning of the following week so maybe I'll make an away one as well. No predictions here as it'll only make me depressed.:-(

So can anybody be arsed to answer post 50. I see Tissie76 is currently under moderation...

Really? I'm sure I remember Chivers scoring in a 3-1 away at Spurs around that time. Did my parents allow me to go (from the Thames Valley) to footie on my own at that age?! I certainly don't remember Dad...

I still haven't got a clue what he said to get banned. OK for racism or bigotry but at most he was sometimes a PITA.

Yep, that rings a bell. I suspect she'll be quite happy to act as a witness, and was probably appointed as she was fairly inexperienced and they probably thought they could manipulate her.

No, you were right first time. In Terry Hurlock's profile in the programme many years ago he stated his greatest dislike as: "a dodgy pint". True, but I do worry about myself sometimes...

I'm sure I remember all that waffle from some time ago: I remember thinking it was bull***t at the time as well.

Nah, the posts reminded me of a humorous song by Keith Hancock. For my age I'll have you know they're superb; bit of footie, winching sails, holding back horses, skiing and decent sports bras have all helped...;-)
