  1. sopcast link work = jerky = sod 1 down
  2. Because he didn't want to be left in the merda at a more critical stage of the season. He wanted to control the timing: not allow AP to dictate it.

    Sloe Gin

Tried with Lidl gin once. It was vile.
  4. Rum in your thermos of tea....
  5. Can't vouch for it but somebody told me he was one, but she's a bit in denial.. But the question on divorce, how many hours a kid can work; some of those questions I'm not even interested in knowing and I'm generally a glutton for useless information.
  6. My apologies to Tame! You are right!
  7. That's not nice. Mack has actually no illusions about the situation and has a very good line in snappy irony and black humour: the complete opposite of Corpse, in fact.
  8. It depends how different the places are and their size. I live in small city Italy and I'm certainly not a classic expat; this morning I had a natter with an English friend but she's about the only one I have, all the rest are locals. I bench warm for a local footie side, play traditional music from the area with other musicians, have a reasonably active social life and don't earn very much: enough to have a ski season pass and go pretty often. I suspect if I were teaching in Dubai I'd been even poorer, although my experience of teaching UAE cadets in the UK was positive enough.
  9. So it's going to be a real treat for the viewers when they finally show one of our home matches. Hopefully they'll be a few games on Italian tv later in the year and then to just hope there isn't a more popular Italian game on so that the bar will show it. I'd second Whelk et al, there's been a fair bit available. I know we'd appreciate more but if you haven't seen what there is keep your eyes open a bit more.
  10. I think youàve missed the point. Some of us consider his personal integrity: who he's been manager of is irrelevant.
  11. That's a bit stupid. They know where you live so why not show them evidence of who you are, such as drivers licence?
  12. Well, I already live abroad so if it came to an England v. Italy game it would make it possible to confound the locals and support Italy. Unless Adam was playing, of course.
  13. That's the whole point of the judgement: within the EU they can't restrict customer choice like that. The reason a pub still can't is that they come under different copyright rules: like I can't copy an English book for a student but I can lend it to them.
  14. Why? They aren't rivals, any more than Bournemouth are..
  15. To be honest, I'm surprised that anybody has been extending them any credit. Perhaps the list is just formalising a de facto situation? (PS: who actually produces that list?). Presumably Kind Edwards or the Uni (?) are getting cash on the nail for the use of their training ground? If not, perhaps someone should tell them..
  16. For some reason that statement about Corp put me in mind of this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-15060310
  17. I am, I've just stayed up late to watch it.:-) Much better than earlier when I was doing an Italian tax return and a translation where I didn't even understand the English! Connolly didn't seem offside, but it did need the benefit of the cameras to see it.
  18. Who on this board have you been talking to then?:-)
  19. Lucky you! Here the weather took a turn over the weekend but still pretty warm apart from a chilly breeze. Here's to the new season and hope I get more work soon as I need to buy my season pass before the end of October to get a 40% resident's discount. Web cam are great, aren't they? You can track weather systems right across Europe these days.
  20. Not long in after our away game in Turin and a pizza afterwards. I was steeling myself for bad news, but 4-1!: big grin here. Glad I signed on to Saints player the other day. Slightly disappointed with the crowd but surely they'll start creeping now?
  21. Jeez, is any woman prepared to breed with such a person? Well, obviously none with any intelligence or perception. I did consider whether the poster was being humorous or ironic, but in the absence of any evidence to the contrary I stuck with my original conclusion. Which you may all decide for yourselves.:-))
  22. Bloomin 'eck, our coach last night was warning us not to be out too late before our Sunday away match. Stories get around so why didn't the club do something about it? I wouldn't have a late night before teaching my primary school kids let alone before a professional football match.
  23. Geez, has Turkish been on this thread all day? Can't stop though, this middle-aged lady is off to football training. The good thing about Turkish is that you don't just have to rely on one post to get an accurate impression..
  24. 3.5 out of 4 wrong: pretty good going.
  25. Fear of violence has never stopped me going to a match. The thought of meeting Turkish might though... COMEONYOUREDS - whether he was serious or not it's the sort of statement he often makes.
