On second thoughts I'll stick with my kayak..
-
Any idea of permitted draught? I'm sure my blow up kayak could manage it but I'd prefer something bigger crossing the shipping lanes and so that I don't get taken for an illegal immigrant.

John Bailey..

Oh gawd, you make me feel old! 🙂
-
Will everybody have spent their warchest by then?

My Dad was duty officer at Manchester for BEA the day it happened. He didn't say much about it, but they all had to line up on the tarmac when the bodies were returned. It's not a flying motto as far as I know, but it should be: "If in doubt, don't set out", however important your passengers are, and however much pressure is put on you.

I'm not very good at cryptic crosswords either, or rather, can't be bothered..

Well, we now know Dorchester's criteria for decent football... HOOF! On a more general level threads like this remind me of the old joke: How do you know someone is vegan? They'll tell you. The same with women's football. They come on to a thread specifically entitled "Women's Football" just to tell you that it is shit and being forced upon them.. You can pretty well predict who will post from their other contributions on here.. So I tend to ignore such threads, click on something else, turn the page, switch channels: all techniques some on here should learn if they want to avoid specific subjects. But whilst I'm here, has anybody got a spare ticket for the England game at St. Marys? I've got tickets for the other two games but wasn't organised enough to get the England game which sold out quickly.

Both those thoughts occurred to me, but she gave such a sensible reply I wasn't going to make it to her! I was particularly pleased about the vocal bit.

Will left-footers wear the colours the other way round?

Hah! I nearly posted something similar and then thought, what's the point? Maybe he's not getting a shag and think we're only 10% of the population. As for Bednarek, he always worries me. When he has the ball he seems to have a curiously tense shoulder body language which doesn't inspire confidence, and he's rarely constructive with the ball. To get anybody better we'd have to spend money, or convince someone he'd do better in their team, what with being a Polish international with experience..
-
Since then a sensible comment: "There's been times his recklessness conceded a goal.. He will pull off a worldie then let in a goal he should have saved. He prefers the ball at his feet. Needs to be quicker at dispensing the ball for them counters. He always offers an opportunity to play back a pass. Got a decent throw on him and seems to always talk to his defence." She finished by saying she wasn't sure if he was ready yet for the top and ".. if I were you Sue I would keep expectations minimum". To my comment that Saints can't afford the finished article she replied "He's got potential.."

Like it.. stick it in and twist it...

Well, I asked the Pompey fans in my team via our group chat, and they said he was crap. B*st*rds! I'll get past the bantz next training session.

That's quite a long lis of keepers we have now with Bazunu. Freeing Willy perhaps?

I once logged on in an Italian internet cafe and a previous user's search appeared.. "neked boys". Obviously not one of my students of English...

Looks 5-a-side pitch size.. The planning document is not available at the moment but I do hope the flats are better quality than the normal rubbish in this country. Balconies, bike lock ups, decent insulation and EV charging, but whenever planners try and impose central government dilutes standards. As long as the residents don't end up complaining about traffic on match days!

Yes, there's never really been a professional women's game to attract those looking at it as a reasonably lucrative career, whereas it always has been for boys, particularly the less acadamic. We've all observed the lads coming up through the ranks at Saints as at many clubs, and some you think wouldn't have too many alternative well-paid career options open to them.
-
Just seen the list and that's quite a few players. Obviously we aren't paying enough for some of them to go full time, with all the considerations posted further up thread. Only 13 on the retained list, so it will be interesting to see how we recruit. Sara Luce is a keeper. My team so need a keeper, but I doubt she'd want to troll around Hants Div 3... shame.:-)

Are you going to wait until the fixtures are out before telling us that's what you hoped for? 🙂 Bit of a long shot to get ITK status! I'm fine with anything as long as they don't then suddenly change the game to a Friday night or Sunday lunchtime.

Missed that one, who is he?
-
I suppose the only bright spot is that at least JWP wasn't involved in this particular shambles. I'd make some allowances for the long season and UEFA trying to cram in even more games oh 4..
-
I don't think they'll be educating you, as you obviously don't care anyway. The only person who has liked your post so far is exactly who you'd expect it to be..

From the minute by minute reports I'm reading I'm glad I didn't go down the pub to watch this. "Raheem Sterling shows his pace to sneak in behind and earning a corner, but Reece James cannot get his delivery past the first man. Unforgivable that, a subbing offence." Perhaps JWP isn't so bad after all..

I can't see it myself, but that could be a hattrick of players from Southampton the Leicester fans would be really happy with...
