I agree with all of this and it is very depressing. The only thing slightly in RM's favour is that even before he arrived we as a club have a very strong tendancy to turn promising players into shite, so maybe it is something deeper in the set up, and/or bad eggs stinking the place out/causing dischord. Hell, even Aribo was pretty useful when he first arrived. It's the reverse Midas effect, and will be an oil tanker or three to turn around. But a quicker way would be having a coach who concentrates on the basic, not reinventing the wheel so it is shit and square shaped.

The trouble is, all the players we have at our disposal are those without any real drive or determination. They all appear to believe they're above all this. And that just doesn't cut it in this league. I'd rather we tried the kids - mystifying why we let Ballard out on loan. He at least would give it a right go, rather than the skill-less bellend that is Che Adams. We need triers, not mercenaries. But the playing system/style does nothing to encourage anything but trying to retain the ball until we inevitably lose it and concede. It is madness. RM gets no plaudits for bravery aka sticking obstinately to a system that doesn't work with the resources we have. I'd not call that bravery. I'd call that stupidity. Sticking with my prediction of mid-table by the end of the season, offered on day one, because Martin's sides concede too many. My mistake then was saying we would score loads too. Not seen that bit yet...

Home loss. Piroe to score. Scar tissue. We played well. Che Adams runs around as if he's too good for us. Along with two or three others who can't be arsed. We slip further down the table. Lots of moaning on here. Calls for manager's head. He isn't sacked because SR know much more than us about football. They're clever, and are revolutionising the game by playing it around really slowly and then losing it and the goalie missing it. It's genius. The rest of the league, with their desire to play at pace with passion and strength are just dinosaurs. We know better, and it will work a treat in League One because... (repeat until we all die)

More clever clever bollocks when all we want is solidity, experience and grit. Atrocious. Oh. Piroe scored again. Not good enough for us though. Twats

As predicted so, so shit

Holgate starting. I give up

Think we'll lose this one as well. They'll be bang up for it and just need to attack us from the off. Our blancmange set up will quiver a bit and then melt. We should still give him time, though. It's hard enough without the toxic atmosphere - so actually away games should be easier. Still think we should get a free agent (for you pedants) experienced keeper in though, to build from the back. An old head/character really makes a difference - witness no-Dunk Brighton last night.

Prediction 100% complete. Two losses. Meltdown. Defenceless. Mid table. Money from bookies. Not sure why anyone is surprised.
-
As per previous prediction, another home loss. We're too leaky. Easy money at the bookies

50% complete

You're not allowed to ask this because Jesus will weep or something
-
No, I didn't think they would do that. I mean, what a weird assumption/deflection from what I wrote (typical of you though). But I was hoping they would invest in a decent keeper in the transfer window, and once they hadn't, that they would get in proven keepers who are free agents - two of which even you might have heard of. Jesus does a lot of weeping in your world. Perhaps we should get him in. #block
-
Yes, and the free agent transfers available outside the window too. Thanks

Fair chance we get no points from this one and Ipswich. Will be all doom and gloom on here, but both will be up there at the end of the season. Personally think we'll still be mid-table at the end as we ship too many goals and feels almost in the DNA now. Said this at start of season and only getting a good experienced keeper in will make a difference. Bazanu cost us relegation last season and will cost us promotion this. Hey ho.
-
No keeper in then. Chance of a clean sheet almost zero.
-
Tub of lard for Bednarek would be my only other suggestion. TOL.
-
Shame, because he is very good at keeping goals out, which is kind of what goalies should do, in my opinion. It's okay if you're Man City, but if you're not, the tactic has limits, and especially with so many fuck ups in the side.
-
Replace Bazunu with Kaspar Schmiechel. Jut bite the bullet. Also, no Smallbone?

It's like an Under 10s game. And a bad one at that. Manager (still) seems clueless on defence, but why players don't commit a foul to slow it down and regroup is naiive in the extreme. I haven't changed my position - still think we will finish lower mid-table, because of our inability to shake off this allergy to decent keepers, or to attending to building a squad from a secure base and not being easy to beat first. The optimist in me says that at least Burnley also showed that they were vulnerable at first, before going on a big run and winning the league. Hope RM is as good as Vincent Kompany (at realising his mistakes and putting them right)
-
Just make a fucking foul. Slow the game down. Regroup. We NEVER do this on transition. And it’s knife through butter. Pathetic
-
How many more times is this going to happen? Edozie was dogshit there. So easy when we’re so high. Pathetic coaching, sorry

Manu Utd have re-signed Jonnie Evans, at 35. Shall we pop a bid in for Rickie Lambert? Just give him a few energy gels? Think this window has turned down to a 7/10 at the the moment, with all the sulkers still on our books, and Che's sulking just getting into overdrive. Bad for morale. Hope Martin doesn't pick them.
-
Terrific signing, THB (tbh). I wonder if he will immediately be made captain? Wonder if that's who RM had in mind for the role? Have to say they are playing a blinder. a creative winger (maybe THAT one) and it's a 9/10 window (assuming Stewart signs)
-
Gone a bit quiet on the THB front. Nervy. Might Wood still be an option? Must say, so far the club have done very well IMO in getting rid of the problem players. Think there was a core of divas. Seem to be doing a good job in getting rid.

You'd have thought Arsenal would be his rightful home.
