No keeper in then. Chance of a clean sheet almost zero.
-
Tub of lard for Bednarek would be my only other suggestion. TOL.
-
Shame, because he is very good at keeping goals out, which is kind of what goalies should do, in my opinion. It's okay if you're Man City, but if you're not, the tactic has limits, and especially with so many fuck ups in the side.

Replace Bazunu with Kaspar Schmiechel. Jut bite the bullet. Also, no Smallbone?
-
It's like an Under 10s game. And a bad one at that. Manager (still) seems clueless on defence, but why players don't commit a foul to slow it down and regroup is naiive in the extreme. I haven't changed my position - still think we will finish lower mid-table, because of our inability to shake off this allergy to decent keepers, or to attending to building a squad from a secure base and not being easy to beat first. The optimist in me says that at least Burnley also showed that they were vulnerable at first, before going on a big run and winning the league. Hope RM is as good as Vincent Kompany (at realising his mistakes and putting them right)

Just make a fucking foul. Slow the game down. Regroup. We NEVER do this on transition. And it’s knife through butter. Pathetic
-
How many more times is this going to happen? Edozie was dogshit there. So easy when we’re so high. Pathetic coaching, sorry

Manu Utd have re-signed Jonnie Evans, at 35. Shall we pop a bid in for Rickie Lambert? Just give him a few energy gels? Think this window has turned down to a 7/10 at the the moment, with all the sulkers still on our books, and Che's sulking just getting into overdrive. Bad for morale. Hope Martin doesn't pick them.
-
Terrific signing, THB (tbh). I wonder if he will immediately be made captain? Wonder if that's who RM had in mind for the role? Have to say they are playing a blinder. a creative winger (maybe THAT one) and it's a 9/10 window (assuming Stewart signs)
-
Gone a bit quiet on the THB front. Nervy. Might Wood still be an option? Must say, so far the club have done very well IMO in getting rid of the problem players. Think there was a core of divas. Seem to be doing a good job in getting rid.

You'd have thought Arsenal would be his rightful home.
-
In other news, Beto showed in 10 minutes last night he is 20 times the player Che will ever be. Everton made the right choice. Here’s hoping we can get all our players over the line today, but like last time, a striker who can actually score goals is perhaps the most important.
-
Mental we’re not just paying up for this kid. What’s the problem?

Salah to Saudi will blow everything else away

Piroe was on a plate and we pushed it aside, to boost a direct rival. Big mistake. We will find out how this team is over the coming tricky fixtures, and I think people are in for a bit of a shock. Especially in terms of conceding goals. And possibly scoring them, unless we spend where we clearly need to.

'Chez' off at last? Maison Mount 😉 Mason Greenwood ;-(
-
Palace 'could' go after Che now, in the last days of the transfer window. Wish they'd get on with it if so. His head must be all over the place (meaning he would head the ball even worse than usual). Need that new blood in.
-
This update was before the one saying he's talking to us, no? Hope he comes, probably as the Tella replacement, but his advisers do seem to be all over the place. Or maybe he has a big ego. Or both. Shame we didn't have him when we won the Johnson Paints trophy.
-
Will Smallbone's signing of a three year contract is excellent news. I think he will be crucial for us this season, and very much admire his tidying up style. Will form a useful partnership with Downes, too, you'd hope. Well done Saints. Now tie up that CB and get in someone who can score goals. You need to make up for the Piroe sluggishness, aiding a direct rival.
-
I wonder if they think about working on defending during training. Or stopping things that happen in one game in the next. Ffs
-
Piroe scores for Leeds. FFS
-
No Che in the starters. He’s persisting h with Edozie for some reason. Adam Armstrong up front. Bednarek is playing (kind of)
-
I may be in the minority but I think on the face of it Fraser is a decent signing and would get in ahead of Edozie for me as I think the latter flatters to deceive and has a frustratingly bad end product. Fraser is a terrier and will do well in this league. Obviously, that said, I think we've dallied badly on Piroe, and Leeds seem to even have snuck in on Paint sealer or whatever he's called. Hope Holgate means we will not also be pulling back from annoying lovely Swansea again and not offering decent cash for Wood. And Hove seems to have completely disappeared. Still think Che will be off to Everton, and that maybe even the Newcastle connection with Fraser might mean someone like Sulemana ending up there. Call me old fashioned.
-
Seen £30m quoted so not sure the Toffees will find that very sweet. Che offers more to Chew over. Have to say I'm disappointed with all the cash swilling around we didn't take a punt on Piroe, or maybe that's still in the melting pot. On the face of it we appear to be a bit risk averse. Does it REALLY need Adams to move on first? Or is this the karma - our dealings with Swansea peeing them around for small beer coming back to bite us on the bum? Does rather lend support to the notion that at the moment we have an excellent team of sellers, and only an adequate one (with limited scope/contacts) of buyers.

Bed feels a bit wetter now.
