Agree entirely. Lallana is not captain material. If anything, the team seems to be playing in his image (on a bad day) - tippy tappy, not a lot of grit and application, precisely what you need when you play, frankly, any Prem game. We have to stop thinking that just being here is enough, or indeed reading how other fans like our style of play, if we can be torn apart at will in defence.

I've been saying the same about Kelvin Davis for years but there are lot of people on here blind to his inadequacies. Now his legs have gone it's surely time to send him to the knackers yard? Surely even he knows he's not good enough? *waits for someone to say something about his penalty save against United. Which my gran could have saved*

Pretty awful today. Naive. Davis - legs have gone along with positional sense. Fox a liability. Schneiderlin bad game, along with Lallana and Rickie, who looke like a fat, slow, pub team player. Highlights excellent Ward Prowse again, useful looking Ramirez, an Yoahida who looked like he might be able to help shore up a Championship defence in danger of dragging us back there.

Who cares about priorities? The outcomes were poor as they left us without adequate cover or skill in much needed areas. We can argue about semantics and whether the club 'tried' in various places, but we are where we are. Which is in a position with lots going forward, and precious little to stop them going in at the other end. The Premier League all know this.
