The one thing I thought very noticeable was how much he gets behind the players. Supports them, praises them, backs them up, refuses to take credit himself, which I think is laudable and might be one of the factors behind his getting good team spirit, something we lack. Whether or not he can inspire some of the more prima donnaish end of the players we have is another matter, but I suspect he is a good man manager at a different end of the spectrum to his (probable) predecessor. So those are at least positive elements. Also, as you say, a tricky interview for him to give at this moment.

(Literallly) just one example. Note use of authoritative tone as if has inside information (not just opinion). Warning. includes capitals for emphasis or something: 👋 Love, pleb. On 29/10/2022 at 23:19, FarehamSaintJames said: Ralph isn’t going anywhere. We haven’t got a good squad. This is SR’s business model, buy children and hope it works out. It isn’t working out. But SR will not be forking out another £50m this January. If any money is spent it needs to be on a backbone like Newcastle did last January, but it won’t happen, because now one will be forking out £10m on the crap in our squad like Diallo, Walcott‘s wages etc. Too many on here think real life is like FIFA where it all happens over night at the click of a finger. RALPH ISN’T GOING ANYWHERE. (FYI, I’m sick of the way we’re playing, setting up etc. The players need to grow a pair, they aren’t good enough. Simple as).

Charlie Austin, chief twat.

Athletic interviews Redmond. A few days later it starts publishing a bunch of stuff slagging off Ralph over the years from a 'source'. Hmmm. Nathan, let it go. Bitter player power strikes again. Personally warming to the sound of Jones. A proper Nathan.
-
Um. He has gone before the World Cup period. Which you said he wouldn't, pretending to be In the Know. Which you clearly aren't.
-
Good points. Agree.
-
Nathan Redmond’s speed dial to The Athleyic working well, I see. Lots of anti Ralph stories bubbling down the line. Bitter bloke.

‘Ralph isn’t going anywhere’

Bust up at the end with Ralph in full public glare. Mind you, Ralph has thrown him under the bus a few times, and they stopped him going to Everton, so guess he's resentful.
-
Still underwhelmed, but this is worth a read: https://twitter.com/saints_analysis/status/1589636875790462976 I suppose we do need more team spirit. Just depends on whether billy big boots players like Che Adams give him a chance.

Is 8th in the Championship really 'a superb job'? What a joke.
-
This is a ludicrous appointment. The worst case scenario with no attributes for the job, not even the ability to get out of the Championship. I thought we had reached a low point but this is lower. What on EARTH are they thinking? Is this Semmens' revenge? Madness. Absolute madness.

Update for Fareham Saint. He's not still here.
-
Nathan Jones. Seriously? Wow. How far we have fallen.
-
I would have thought so

Update Crook just said that it is ‘inevitable’ that we will part company with RH and that they will accelerate the departure today of their earlier plan for doing it during the WC. Fan base has lost patience. Should be confirmed today as well as one or two changes behind the scenes,… interesting, that last bit. he has no definitive answer on replacement but new man probs will be in charge by weekend. Said he will know more in next 48 hours,,, Gelardo, Bo Svensson and Knutson mentioned. Thomas Frank they are admirers of but that would be difficult deal to do. Didn’t mention Dyche.
-
Ralph Hasenhuttl to leave #SaintsFC today with replacement already lined up. More on @talkSPORT shortly. Alex Crook hmm
-
Sad fact is that when we should have got rid of Ralph we could have aimed high. Now Dyche is the sensible low~risk choice and good for getting back in the Prem, assuming we’ve dithered so much it’s too late. Terrible management by the owners. Really myopic. Also to not make a state, ent one way or the other tonight is negligent.

Whilst I wouldn’t decry Howe’s achievements as a coach, I think limitless funds also help.
-
Southgate? Surely not. Might it be the reason for the timing?
-
Christ. Even bungling how he will be sacked and when. Shambolic comms.

Sourness is right to say unless we show fight we’re going down. The fight comes from a belief in your manager and the selections he makes plus the tactics he employs. That’s why we aren’t showing fight.

Elynoussi’s miss in the first half. Cue’s appalling volley. Quality matters. Especially at key moments. Oh for a goal scorer. But yet again Edozie was good when he came on I thought. Not that that matters in Ralph’s mind. Just don’t get it. Hope he goes tonight but he won’t.
