Risk of getting Pied. Jeremy Pied.
-
More the principle than the numbers. ok 60.
-
Or TV news behemoths #noandrewmarred Which is why I think we should bite the bullet but make sure that a) we get as near to 100m as possible for our captain and England international with years on his contract but b) we replace him (and other positions) with the money. If the club's answer is Harry Winks it is very depressing indeed.
-
Agree. 100% (as they say on Love Island)
-
Or the makers of Lemsip #nocoldsbarred
-
Bissouma to Spurs for 25m might mean we're marginally safer of JWP going there but wouldn't rule it out
-
What a completely massive bag of shit that would be.
-
Start looking at Championship venues, guys Southampton are ‘among the clubs’ following Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks - if captain James Ward-Prowse departs this summer #saintsfc @garyjacob

Families are pretty resilient. The other one is distance. Most footballers put up with a lot (one week in two) for cash. Even training an hour away in a fast car isn’t much. But yeah. Reckon the spurs thing might be too strong. Won’t be coming our way. (If only)
-
Funny feeling Danny Ings will end up at Brighton and bang in lots of goals for them. Not sure he'd want to come back. Have we signed the Man City keeper Bazunu yet? Hope so
-
Southgate starting JWP tonight must mean he knows he’s off 😉
-
I think he’ll go and it’s just about the price. And spending some of that before it gets out (or risk inflated prices). Reckon he’ll go to Spurs. 70m isn’t enough. But will be around that. If they throw in Winks or offer something silly plus Winks it’s all over.

Ralph’s first choice apparently. Might he be the new manager ultimately?
-
Official: Southampton appoint 38-year-old Ruben Selles as First Team Lead coach, the Spaniard was assistant at league-winning FC Copenhagen last season #saintsfc
-
Very good. I always thought Fraser looked like Desperate Dan
-
That would be Emmanuel Dennis the Menace *gets coat*
-
Never lose an opportunity for a dig, eh?
-
Very good player. Doubt we'll get him.
-
Bazunu told he's number one apparently. talksport i think
-
Perhaps he disliked Ralph's seeming inability to notice a terrible goalkeeper compared to an alright one whose inclusion in the team corresponded with a jump in form. Just saying. I fear this blindness is replicated in how bad players have to get before he takes them off and playing players in their wrong positions. Still maintain that we should have bitten the bullet and gone for a different strategy. Because this one is too rigid. (unless we get a very good number two in the way that i hope the new keeper is a new number '2' (ie 1).
-
I think they mean experienced and good. But point taken. I don't think an older player would harm at CB or in goal if they could get them in, for their (hopefully) leadership qualities and abilities to read the game/organise, even if a little of the zippiness has gone
-
Terrible keeper. Crazy decision. Has hamstrung everything else. Hope McCarthy never plays for us again and that the City lad can step up
-
Yes, another inverse Midas touch back there. Looked good for Liverpool against us too. Any news on new coaching set up for us?
