  1. Lancashire is a joke. I cannot believe he is still at the club. Maybe we could bring back Ali Dia?
  2. Exactly!!! I'm with you there kelkel31, although it is a shame to see the fan base still divided, I would indeed tell them to shove a sock in it. We have been waiting too long, and to be served more sh*t after years of anguish and pain is unacceptable. WHO CARES IF IT IS A NEW REGIME. the players are still mostly the same. they were signed to be good enough for the Championship. and they are currently proving themselves to be some of the worst in League One.
  3. My personal favourite song i've heard was sung by Leicester City... 6 or 7 years ago at SMS. It went: "we're sh*t, and we're beating you" The only problem with this one may be that we are actually so sh*t, we might never get into the lead.
  4. I agree, a winger is another essential item on the shopping list. Along with two giant centrebacks and another striker that actually cares.
  5. Just like any Southampton player, he will come good when he leaves. A painful and truthful fact. We may as well be playing in the Southampton Local League Division 5 Reserves, and Lallana would be sh*t. But then he'd sign for a club like Wigan and get into the England squad!!!
  6. I suppose this positivity after a game thing is becoming more like the water cycle? except, lets call it the cycle of false optomism
  7. Then again, since the formation of the Premier League, Saints have lost more games than any other club that has ever been in the football league through this time. So maybe we are all just a bit f*cked off that we always lose, and maybe one day it would be nice, just for a change, to see a side win a bit more often. I am 17, and can only remember 2 seasons where we finished in the top half. Disgrace. This club is an embarrassment and it makes me wish I was born somewhere else, so I could support a better team.

    Soon

Losing to Swindon has certainly lessened my anticipation of the season. I think we Saints fans want to see higher football and for us losing in League One on a regular basis would be an absolute disaster. Worryingly, I think we are heading for League Two.
  9. 2 new CBs or bust. Thomas and Perry are clearly not good enough for League 1. Until they move to another club of course, where they will start playing great.
  10. The result, considering that Swindon, now without Cox, are one of the favourites for relegation, confirms that we are in real trouble. If we can't beat Swindon, unless we sign some players quick, with the added problem of a -10 I would now say we are in danger of relegation. And with the names in the squad we have, we should be ashamed. None of them deserve higher quality football. Why is it that Saints players are always presumed to be of a higher quality than the league they are in? ITS SH*T!!!
  11. 2 centrebacks 1 defensive midfielder 1 general midfielder 1 striker 1 creative winger
  12. I feel that way too. Although, I think 10 from the next 12 may better put across my exact feelings!!!!! Whatever the case, we need points quick, because as the patience doctors seem to forget... we are way behind the pack and are currently in a relegation battle (whether we are at the end of the season is irrelivant... as redknapp said when he took over spurs last season, they were in a relegation battle. same applies to us.)
  13. The suicide squad would like to know: how long do we have to wait???
  14. The major weak spot sounds like the midfield. All of the kids played in midfield.
  15. IMO it can: 1) Inspire the current players to try harder 2) Reassure the fans he is looking for players quickly
  16. I'd like to see Pardew come out after the game and admit that the team isn't good enough. Any comments along the lines of "we had an off day" or "this team can play better" will be bad news for the season
  17. A big defeat should really get the alarm bells ringing. MORE SIGNINGS!!!!! When will we have some fun? Haven't had it now for 2 and a half years.... may sound silly, but in order to gain confidence and not get left behind with our minus points... Swindon is now a must win game.
  18. I'd like to think we are one of the better teams in this division too. And if we are not now, we bleddy well should be by September.
  19. I know we have had a 'harder' start but for me it's still depressing that teams like Charlton have managed to win their first 2. Makes you feel like we are getting left behind - big time
  20. Relax too much and we might find we are bottom for an annoyingly long time!!!
  21. TBH i'd be slightly frustrated with a draw... i'm one of those that just want to see us have a quick start for a change, we need to get out of the negatives and competing in the league ASAP COYS!!!
  22. Why did we take Schniederlin off instead of Wotton? With PW being on a yellow as well, surely that's a bit risky?
  23. YEEEEEAAAAA!!!! well done lambo how did it come to be a goal? hopefully we will get the confidence we need now!!!
  24. Surely if we are not providing anything for our strikers, and Huddersfield are just constantly getting the ball forward, it is the fault of the midfield? Get Mellis on... may as well!!!
