Why did he pick that piece of **** up without gloves? Sick bastard. Also, do they change the bed sheets before they 'hot-dog'? Gross if they don't.

If you type in myptop forum, there is a link there that takes you to their temp site. They are having problems with their domain/hosts or something like that.

Thanks. I did a check of his temperature, checked his tonsils etc and all seemed fine. His temperature was quite high but nothing that alarmed me too much. The funny thing is that he's not a big fan of treats, he gets more chocolate over his fingers, mouth, table etc than he actually manages to eat and he tends to leave crisps and sweets. Yes, I know, there is a tendency to assume that if you can't feed your kid, then you are a failure Thanks. He seems to love certain things and then will eat nothing else, noodles and rice seems to be the only thing he is prepared to eat at times. Good tactic Baj. I will try that with his mom. I would do that but his mom is a lot more anxious than I am. If he doesn't take a mouthful of food then she thinks that he's suffering. I am sure that if she left him alone then he'll come round soon enough. Then again, maybe sometimes you have to force feed them but that could just put him off food even further. He's fine, he's tough as old rope and I do take it away but I think he's a bloody minded little bugger at times and refuses to give in. Thanks. I've tried playing with his food and he looks at me in a confused manner as if to say "Do you think i'm a toddler, grow up" lol Thanks. A good read.

I have barbed wire that runs across the top half of one side of the fence but they come from across a party fence, which I can't stop them coming over. There were six seperate amounts of cat crap yesterday evening, all in various places across the garden. It's becoming a task in itself to find it all. Tere are about ten cats/kittens that are roaming free, some neighbours have dogs so they tend to use my garden. There are areas of the lawn that no longer grow back, due to their pee and are now just brown patches. It's not as if it's the odd one here and there, it's becoming overrun. The council said they can't do anything to help unless the cats aren't being looked after, so it's just finding a strategy that works. I will check the RSPCA website for guidance. I have now been told that there is a product called 'roar', which is the smell of Lion poo and this seems to have some effect with others having the same problem. The smell is beyond words some days and the amount of flies is staggering, even after spend 20 mins cleaning it all up, the same mess is back the following day.

How do you get a 20month old toddler to eat properly? He has no issues with his bottles of milk but he can be a real handful when trying to feed him something more solid. The cheeky bugger tends to allow me to place the food in his mouth but then on purpose lets it drop out of his mouth or starts to make himself sick - which can be quite worrying. He loves porridge and rice (when he's in the mood) but seems to be very funny about his food in general. I have tried techniques to distract him and they sometimes work, he loves to watch animals so I put a wildlife DVD on for him at some meal times which seems to help but other times he just won't swallow and either cries or becomes very bloody-minded

What deterrents do people suggest for a number of cats using my garden as a toilet? There are about six cats that roam and every night I have to clean up the front and back gardens because of the mess/smell/flies caused by the cats. The binmen have complained to the council about the smell from my bin and I was visited by one of their clipboard warriors who advised that I need to dispose of the mess more carefully. I'm not too happy about that but what can I do? They aren't my cats but I am seemingly responsible for clearing their mess. My garden has gravel and wood-chip, which is ideal for the cats but I don't want to have to replace it all again over something that should be the owners of the cats worry. I have tried the usual stuff, pepper, lemon, special plants that are supposed to ward off cats, get off my garden and other things but they have had no effect. So, any solutions offered?

I accept the situation and I didn't have a choice but I ain't going to go into that on here. I just don't like having some clown say '**** 'em' to people like myself, I want nothing from the state, I have always tried to do the best for my family. I am not frustrated at my situation, the '**** 'em' remark has just hit a nerve. The man has no idea what he's talking about, his idea would be another white elephant and yet he thinks that I should have the value of my property further diluted and also pay out of my taxes (as I am proud to work) to fund his nonsense idea for those that will just trash them and then pick up the phone to the council and say 'Fix this, it's broke'. Why should I/we who work take the hit twice? I have never been out of work, even under the Thatcher regime, I did anything that I could get to try and give a better standard of living for my family, why shouldn't I have a dream or a bit of ambition without being told '**** 'em' when it doesn't go as planned? Maybe I should just do nothing too and get a new shiny social house for me and my family, paid for by the state? Is that what he wants? Then I can say '**** 'em' too, to all those hard working people who dared to have some stability in their life and have something to hand down to their children. No chance, I am proud and it all comes down to attitude and I have a can do, not a can't do. I'm sorry, but would it be right to say '**** 'em' to the pieces of scum that are ruining our streets? No, it would not, so why state '**** 'em' for hard working people like myself, who didn't have a choice but to take out a mortgage, sometimes circumstances conspire against people. I am not bitter, I get on with life and will always try and better myself, I just don't appreciate being put in his '**** 'em' category. My mortgage is small, I can afford it easy but that's not the point.
-
Do you think that if these pieces of gutter trash have a nice, shiny new home then they will be reformed, turn into upstanding citizens, take good care of it, help the elderly across the road?! Don't be so bloody silly, they are just takers. There is a world of difference between the genuine folks, who live in squalid, social housing and these who are trashing the streets right now. When you can distinguish the difference and stop giving the arrogant middle finger (**** 'em) to hard working people like those/me, then I will take you seriously.
-
So on one hand you advocate people having a stake, roots etc but then try to make them out to be ****s for paying the market price. It's a pity we can't all be perfect like you. Sometimes you can't dictate the circumstances of life, you have no choice but to pay or be stuck on the rental /social housing market forever. I haven't over financed myself but I am stuck with a house that isn't worth what I paid for it. I do apologise for trying to make something of my life and getting some 'roots'. Thanks for your support '**** 'em', well that's real nice of you, well, **** you too you patronising piece of ****. I have worked hard all my life, I don't have a lot but I am proud of what I have achieved. You seem like an arrogant worthless piece of ****, what right do you have to say '**** em' to people who had no option but to pay at that time in good faith. I think the comedian in you will say something along the lines of "seek financial advice"!

There ain't a hope in hell of any of our public transport systems becoming a viable replacement for the motor, even after they have taxed the motorist off the road, the public transport system will still be in the 70's. The country would grind to a halt if our only option of getting to and from work was public transport. Wolverhampton recently had a new multi-million pound bus station, then Cetro decided to charge the bus companies 50p each, when one of their buses used it. Of course, the bus companies just changed their route to avoid using the new terminal and the customer was inconvenienced. It's that sort of utter nonsense that means that the car will always be king. -

Yes, it's quite an old camcorder. I have recently bought a new laptop and the drivers(CD) that came with it won't load into the new laptop, maybe because it's for windows XP editions. I have no idea what firewire is....???? I assume a USB to USB connection? How do I get XP mode in windows 7 Steve? ta all -
Could anyone direct me as to where I can get these for free? I can't even find them on the Panasonic website for the Windows 7 OS. Thanks

Can't argue with the underlying principle of his words. I am not comfortable with having to assist with another countries debt because if we don't help them directly, it will impact on us indirectly! What sort of message does that send out? How can that be ethically/morally acceptable? It's like me not giving a toss, building up a big debt with my partner and then telling her I can't afford the mortgage payments anymore then telling her that she can either bail me out or we lose the house. I am tired of hearing about the wonders of capitalism and how fantastic it is but it appears to me that there are a very exclusive and elite men/women who basically run the world, borrow money to banks, countries and they have the power to destroy as and when they please. The picture in my mind is of the wealthy being extremely wealthy and there is a huge gap between the next tier down and they are also millionaires too(but relatively poor in comparison), then another huge gap, which is the likes of us. How do banks become a bank? Surely it's rich men/women creating one and then pulling the strings of those countries, other banks etc that they borrow money to. Commerce and Industry is very complex and I suppose I am looking at it in a black and white manner but ultimately, I just see a very few, who are rich to the point of it being quite sick and those are the ones that make the world turn, they are bigger than countries, bigger than continents as it's their money that we all lend. There must be another banking system that is behind all this that is exclusive to just a few powerful people. am i Paranoid? I think it might be the best way to be. -

I'm sorry to say that a lot of UK girls have no class, they must have been dragged up. I stayed in Drancy once, which is a poor suburb just outside Paris, the ladies were not rich, from the same type of background as our council estate girls but they still had a bit of finesse. On a sidenote, there were two girls fighting outside a school today in Brum, both with bellies as big as an ocean, arms like Popeye and with the Indian ink tattoos scrawled on their arms with some meaningless names from shoulder to wrist, such as 'Abo' or 'Vinny'. Their language was on an industrial scale too. Needless to say, I crossed the road and left them to it. I'm sure they will have documented their lowlife antics on facebook now, in an attempt to gain some kudos from their peers. The Polish, Romanians, French, German , SE Asian ladies, in the UK now, have more class. In fact, I think we must rank quite low in classy totty in the suburbs.

I am sure that the French say it's 'English kissing', when they give their partner a nice tongue kiss. We say it's 'French Kissing'....strange!

Do you need a button to ignore someone? Just do it, literally ignore them, their comments etc

Thanks all. It looks like I will have to find another place to stay anyway, I have had over thirty 'we are fully booked' responses. I might now look to stay somewhere in the immediate area of Fort William, or try Oban.

Any suggestions of an area around here, B&B's, Guesthouses etc where I can escape for a few days? I've always said I would go there, but have always found a reason not to; until now! Any suggestions of places to visit in the area, please let me know. I'm just looking for a place where I can go walking, take in some fresh air, get away from congestion and the stress of day to day life, and generally lose myself for a few days away from the suburbs. It'd be more of a budget thing, so expensive hotels won't be on my agenda.

http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/10072011/58/tour-de-france-french-tv-car-causes-shocking-tour-crash.html I don't know what to make of that crash. Deliberate? It looked like he just fooked up and had little choice. Terrible driving though.

Haye can talk a good fight..........and that's all he actually did. He got battered by a better fighter. Lennox Lewis tore his brother to pieces and I think if he came out of retirement, he would stop Haye in a few rounds. Haye is good but not that good per se. Then again, I have Lennox in my top heavyweights of all time, so maybe that's not such a shock.

He should go on that embarrassing illnesses programme as he has an illness/injury but it only happens when he's losing. I can just imagine all the Scots cheering on an Englishman.......actually, I can't. I do want him to win though, as i'm getting bored of Nadal in the finals......come on Tim!!!!! oh, sorry.

British Airways ind. action over ?
Barney Trubble replied to Saint in Paradise's topic in The Lounge
It's all about me, me, me, me, me....forget the underlying principle shall we, as the strike had a small detriment on yourself.. Kids' would still be sweeping chimneys at twelve if it wasn't for people like FF and those who made a stand before him. I'm sure there would be thousands of schoolkids wishing to sweep chimneys though, from Lands End to John O' Groats, therefore it must mean it's ok. The modern day thinkers guide to strike action: Will I be inconvenienced? Yes= ****ing bunch of ******s, they should be grateful they have a job No= I need, to look into this further, before forming an opinion. Do I stand to gain or lose anything? I will lose money/pension etc= Stand up and be counted, we're all in this together It won't impact upon me at all= ****ing bunch of ******s, they should be grateful they have a job Scenario: Employer breaks the terms and conditions of contract after many years of unbroken service, should I: A) Accept it, after all, I'm lucky to be in a job. If I say anything, there will be queues of people prepared to do my job anyway. ****, I better not rock the boat. B) Make a stand. If I had known twenty years ago, what I know now, I would have made alternative arrangements for my retirement. You answered - A. Just a bit of fun of course. Best of luck FF, to paraphrase a famous person 'to have enemies, means that you've stood up for something in your life'
