  1. Genuinely my biggest fear is that we will be unable to convince our top targets to sign. Why the hell would they when we are facing a genuine relegation scrap?!
  2. The fact is, if a big team comes in for ANY of our players right now they will be off. That very much includes Schneiderlin. The second Chambers knew of their interest there was no question of wanting to move on, the dominoes are in full flow.
  3. Thats exactly it, people keep talking about on paper we should have enough with certain players to stay up. The fact is we have NO TARGETS (of position), NO STABILITY and NO COHESION. That automatically has us playing catch up even against the newly promoted teams.
  4. Retweeted by Tim Koeman Süleyman Öztürk ‏@SuleyOzturk 5m Southampton heeft ook een bod ontvangen op de toiletjuffrouw. Arme Ronald Koeman. Translation: Southampton has also received an offer on the toilet lady. Poor Ronald Koeman.
  5. @CassiusSports You're welcome...
  6. The scary thing is we've been saying that all summer long!
  7. http://view.e.theequaliser.com/?j=fe8e15797d62067e71&m=fe981573716d067e74&ls=fe1e1c77716d047d701c78&l=ff64107371&s=fe251577736c007b771c70&jb=ff951579&ju=fe6a17717d6704787414&r=0 Interesting stats assessment of the impact of our sales.
  8. I thought only 13 year old's had 'second teams'.
  9. I can't make any sense of that?
  10. This is really starting to irritate me how the press have jumped on this bandwagon. RK wasn't doing anything of the sort, he frequently tweets a picture of the training set up before they get started. He wasn't having a dig, nor was he being funny.
  11. You've got my vote for Skipper.
  12. I'll play up front. My record in one season was 40 and that was in just half a season (it wasn't in a women's league).
  13. Well at least he made it public rather the hint hint nudge nudge approach you have adopted.
  14. What other confirmed targets have bitten the dust?
  15. He always talks bo!!ocks.
  16. Agreed, although I'm unsure if he had committed to a new property. What I do know is that the owner of the property he was renting did serve him notice as he intended to put it on the market.
  17. Nail on the head for me. I also noticed that Wenger referred to 'English players on the market'. I may be reading too much into it but is he suggesting that we made it known he was available for transfer or talking about the transfer market as a whole.
  18. New link....Jonas. http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/southampton-valencia-target-set-for-talks-this-week Sounds to me like agent talk though as his contract is running down.
  19. I don't think its a staged fallout, but it would perhaps add weight to there always being a plan to sell at the end of the 5 year plan.
  20. Just thought I'd throw in a scenario that goes against the general assumption of MARKUS' intentions for the club. Markus Liebherr bought the club with the very well documented '5 year plan'. Nobody knows exactly what was at the end of this plan. Could it be that in actual fact the plan all along was to sell the club once it has established itself in the Premiership for a significant profit - he was a very shrewd businessman after all and I simply don't believe the line that we were given when Markus first took over that he fell in love with the club from afar and Cortese fancied working in football. We keep being told that KL is committed to following her fathers wish. After becoming attached/engrossed/obsessed (take your pick) in his role at the club Cortese tried to talk KL out of initiating the sale process last winter, which she wasn't having any of it. He eventually was forced out for going against the original plan of building the club up in order to sell. Don't forget, Nicola also reassured us that he had back up funders in the wake of Markus' sad passing. That would explain Cortese's burning desire to feed prior warning about players leaving through his trusted media monkeys. As I say, just a thought...
  21. I really don't think we need yet another threading discussing which players are leaving, particularly these two. Their contract issues are well documented on numerous threads.
  22. Wouldn't want any of them, except perhaps Gnabry if there was an option to buy (which there won't be).
  23. Remember when we came up we thought we'll finally be able to hold onto our young stars. Ah the memories!
  24. Just to be clear, Shaw is on £50,000 pw, but your point still stands.
