  1. I was told, by a very reliable source, that the Salz thing will never, ever happen. EVER. Make of that cryptic message what you will...
  2. Except Patrick Moore... Legend.
  3. FFS... let them all fade to the obscurity they deserve, please!
  4. I disagree, he's sacked his appointments before. I don't think he particularly cares what you or I think as to whether he's admitting failure or not.
  5. Where is a pint of Coke half the price of lager? Not in any pub I frequent it isn't.
  6. If it's any consolation I lold when it was on Harry Hill. I didn't watch the X Factor final.
  7. To confirm; "just", in this context, means "with minutes to spare" not "despite his flaws". Ahfankoo.
  8. Oh come on, you're just arguing for the sake of it. It was a ridiculous proposition in the first place and you're on your own now. I'm done.
  9. Have you ever listened to Scolari, Benitez, Mourinho, Grant, Ramos, Ferguson, etc. in their post-match interviews? Half of what they say is badly translated gobbledigook but they appear to get their message across in the dressing rooms. It's more about the players' abilities than Jan's team talks IMO.
  10. Jan's English isn't non-existant. He just has an accent somewhat like Steve McClaren's
  11. I liked Pearson and think he was great at the club but if you don't think surviving in the last half of the last game of the season is "just" then I'd love to see your definition.
  12. I'll make my last comment elsewhen then ffs!
  13. You don't even know what I'd propose! I just said that both options are a big gamble... Unless that's the bit you have a problem with.
  14. That's your opinion and I respect that, but then I've always been a people person. Oh, and that was my last comment....
  15. OK, this is my last comment on the subject... There's nothing to suggest that Pearson could do any better with this squad. He survived, JUST, with a team that was superior in almost every department to the one we see go out week after week this year. There is no intrinsic problem with Jan's style of play. It works with better players but he's stuck with what he's got. The loan additions he's been free to make have been a mixture of disappointment an success, in almost equal numbers, but that's true of any team in any league. The squad is dictated by our finances. We simply cannot afford to spend more money on the squad. Lowe is as responsible as the previous chairman for our current situation BUT I don't see there's much more he can do than stave of the unthinkable situation of administration by any means necessary. There is no easy fix without large amounts of investment from a benefactor (who doesn't seem to exist) buying the club, anything else is a gamble. It has to be accepted that a change of manager is as big a gamble as riding things out as they are, and if people on both sides of the argument could see that this forum would be a much nicer place.
  16. I'm not even sure he is out of his depth, in fact I think he'd do better another league up where he could have a team that had the talent to play to his desired style. When the lads are on their game the football is beautifully effective. Unfortunately we don't have a team of Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez to make it work every game.
  17. And that's why we should never appoint Scolari! How's your Dutch by the way?
  18. Glad my time spent rolling isn't wasted then.
  19. Socialism and Capitalism are both driven by the same thing anyway, money.
  20. He started it! I just want to get back to the subject in hand... and it's not fricking council houses.
  21. You can't talk St George. The debt within your country outstrips the amount of money that's ever been printed. Good luck with that.
  22. Actually, I saw 5 minutes of footage from it earlier (it's all home video clips) and it was pretty moving stuff. Poor little kid. Whatever happened to her?
  23. What the **** has any of this got to do with James Purcell's unbelievable proposal!?
  24. One thing you can't blame her, Major or any other Conservative in history for, is the topic of this thread. End of story.
