That’s where your argument doesn’t make sense. One minute you call it a protectionist cartel, next minute you expect us to be free from their regulations and be able to undercut them and keep free access to their market. You can’t have it both ways.
-
From you that’s a compliment. Cheers

Great to see Lewis win, obviously the best candidate in a pretty shit year. The British public obviously are not put off by the Marxist takeover he is so openly part of.
-
Shouldn’t we call this new variant the English Virus?
-
Decent performance, can’t really complain about the result. If Ings has stayed on we probably could have nicked a point.
-
I should have reported it but I was young, straight out of Uni in my first proper job so didn’t feel well placed to report my new boss to the old bill for saying something racist. Like you would have I’m not lecturing anyone, just trying to explain to a simpleton the reasons why people are not just being anti-racist but SHOWING they are ant-racist.
-
That’s the bit you just don’t get do you. Appearing to be anti racist is what it is all about, the more that people show that they are against racist behaviour the more people who behave that way know they are in the minority and their views are unacceptable. It’s not rocket science.
-
Of course it will, it’s not an either or thing though - let’s keep up with both.
-
For some it might, but you would like to think that for some supporters seeing their heros make the gesture week in week out might make them think that racist behaviour is for wankers. Even if it has a tiny effect there is no harm in it, unless you are one of these people terrified of a Marxist takeover.

My point is that if players taking the knee irritates racist fans at least it is getting a response and maybe make them think a bit unlike the players wearing a kick it out T-shirt once a season.
-
From the FA: "To be clear, we do not see taking the knee as a political symbol, and would contend that there can now be no doubt as to what the gesture means in a footballing context," It's almost like you are looking for reasons to appose it.
-
The players are not calling anyone names, just making an anti-racism gesture. Not really the same thing.
-
Maybe it will take that to help get the message across. Putting on a Kick-it-out T-shirt before kick-off one game a season is not exactly going change anything is it?
-
Great news. The more it gets up the nose of the racists the better.
-
Yeah, it's amazing how my Tory supporting mates are now so in favour of state handouts now they can rip the arse out of the furlough scheme for their benefit. Expect the usual crying like babies when taxes rise though.

It is true, my boss said he didn’t hire Asians because they had a chip on their shoulder, hence I wouldn’t know the names of the people who didn’t get a look in. I was in my first real job just out of Uni and wasn’t really in a position to ‘pull him up’ on anything. And yes at the time it didn’t really matter to me, my priorities then we’re 1. going out and getting laid. 2. watching football with my mates and 3. earning as much money as I can to do more of 1 and 2.
-
I dunno, they didn’t even get an interview.
-
You must be thick as fuck if you don’t think some names have an ethnic background. But then again you don’t even understand basic climate science so I’m not surprised.
-
So the fact that some black kids have English sounding names is proof that racism doesn’t exist. Brilliant
-
How does this possibly prove your point: “The only thing that they changed was the applicant's name, which they based on their ethnic background. While 24% of white British applicants received a call back from UK employers, only 15% of ethnic minority applicants did. Compared to White British applicants, people of: Pakistani heritage had to make 70% more applications Nigerian and South Asian heritage 80% more applications Middle Eastern and north African heritage 90% more applications”

Er.. racism. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-46927417

So he’s basically spending his last few days sacking people, killing people and writing bollocks on Twitter.
-
I don’t think it will achieve much to be honest, but it’s impossible to tell either way. I just think it’s a harmless gesture and the politics of some of the people involved within the BLM is an irrelevance. The message the players are trying to get across is obvious and an absolute good.
