  1. Historical changes in the Earths climate over millennia only add weight to the theory of man made warming. Numerous things effect the temperature (the sun, volcanoes etc) and will continue to do so but he recent warming can only be reasonably explained by increased greenhouse gasses due to man. Co2 levels have exceeded 400 parts per million, the highest point for 3 million years. The last time they were this high camels lived in the high Arctic and seas were at least 30 feet higher and that was in the final stage of a prolonged greenhouse epoch, and CO2 concentrations were already on their way down. We are entering a complete unknown, positive feedbacks like methane from melting Arctic tundra could mean catastrophic consequences. Ignoring what science is telling us is just plain retarded.
  2. What sort of absolute proof do you think we should wait for then before we act? The polar ice caps could melt completely tomorrow and some sceptics will say it's not due to man. There will always be sceptics, there will never be an unveiling of a big banner by god saying "global warming is true". What are you waiting for?
  3. 97% is a pretty large majority, there will always be sceptics. What percentage should we wait for until we call it a consensus then?
  4. Explains why they didn't get a safety certificate for full capacity - exits not wide enough for the 75th minute stampede.
  5. Of course not. But the vast majority of really clever people who do the measurements, make the observations and analyse the subject in great detail agree.
  6. Isn't that how you get a consensus?
  7. Getting a talented manager is ALWAYS cost effective. They could still attract a promising young manager from non league.
  8. Wonder how long it will take the thick c*nts to realise they should have hired a real manager, not just someone with "blue blood".
  9. Bottom of the whole league. Streaming for the exits on their big day. PMSL
  10. I particularly like Dave from Durham's comments that scientists have a vested interest because they are... ...scientists! Sergi's comment above sums up why we stand no chance of acting on climate change. A few weather forecasters get it wrong and people just don't take the science seriously.
  11. If we don't get in at least one top striker we might regret it big time. Last year we relied too much on Lambert, if he gets injured or is not on his game this season I can't see where the goals are coming from. A few injuries up front and we are relegation fodder at the moment.
  12. Hungerford Bottom as in the fox n hounds?
  13. If we sold Clyne for a massive fee I would think it fair that Palace should get a decent percentage of it.
  14. We signed Phillps from Sunderland who were in the Championship.
  15. It's not hard at all, I prefer oil production to be as safe for the environment as possible and am happy to pay more for it.
  16. Good article, its great that we appear to have a good team spirit. It's all meaningless waffle though if we get dicked in our first few games.

    Go home

There is nothing wrong with telling illegal immigrants to go home but you have to ask WHY the tories felt the need to do this. It wont have any positive effect except to pander to the swivel eyed racist loony right in their party - and that is wrong. This is typical of their recent behaviour, they are obviously sh!t scared of having their vote squeezed by UKIP.
  18. this has to be the funniest... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1201664/Portsmouths-Galacticos-Diego-Maradona-bring-Aguero-Etoo-Villa-Silva-Fratton-Park-claim-Arabs.html
  19. This one is funnier: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/portsmouth/5394630/Portsmouth-FC-close-to-Arab-takeover.html
  20. Yeah of course, 2 draws and one defeat out of our first six games would have put us 5th last season. I sure we will be gutted if that happens this year.
  21. Doesn't mean it will always be that way. Football finances have changed before and they will change again.
  22. That's nice, kill 78 people then refuse to talk to the police.
  23. Lallana is class. His shooting needs to improve but that is mainly poor decision making rather than lack of talent, he seems to want to place the perfect shot every time when he should sometimes just put his foot through it. He will improve, I'm not surprised at some SWF mongs writing him of though.
  24. Used to go there for certain stuff not the weekly shop though because you don't get the range that you do up tescos. some of the European food was nice like the Bratwursts and cheese. Can get some real bargains.
  25. I expect my pension will be effected but i still think it's right that BP get stung for as much as possble. Oil companies will always take risks to make the most profit because that is all they care about - they don't give a damn about the environment. But as with every company they will have to balance the risk with potential costs so the bigger the penalty for failure the better IMO.
