They don’t have cubicles in the ladies?
-
Which pools in Southampton don’t have cubicles or mixed changing then? The Quays, Rapids, Holly Hill, Wilderness and I think Bitterne do.
-
Or a man has to accept a woman might see him naked too by that rationalle. It's obviously a difficult issue to solve but transexual men and women have always used different changing rooms - if you don't want someone to see your junk use a cubicle - that applies just as much to someone of the same sex as you as someone who may be trans. When was the last time you were forced to strip naked in front of someone else?
-
I answered the fella below who made the same point about changing rooms. I’ve got better things to do than spend all night repeating myself on here. There are obviously issues but I don’t think it’s as serious as the Daily Mail and the like make out. There must be practical solutions that can keep women feeling safe without demonising an already marginalised group of people. Trans women have as much right to feel comfortable and safe as women IMO.
-
Well done, I bet you passed GCSE biology didn’t you?
-
I never said there were not issues, there obviously are but I just would not class them as serious issues. Climate change, the cost of living and the state of the NHS are serious issues. Sexual predators in changing room of either sex are a bigger issue than chicks with dicks IMO.
-
I’ve got a 9 year old daughter and we go swimming regularly. I’ve never once been worried about chicks with dicks.
-
Or she just might not want to be stared at, harassed or assaulted.
-
Wouldn’t forcing trans women into male changing rooms cause similar problems though? I used to work with a trans woman, she was a great girl. When you looked you could tell she was probably trans but she wasn’t a complete munter, and she had a cracking set of jugs. Being forced to strip off in front of blokes would be a bit unkind and maybe put her at risk.
-
Surely a male sexual predator would be more likely to just use the mixed changing rooms, pretty much all the swimming pools I have been to recently are mixed or have a mixed family changing area. Shops are generally mixed. Dressing up in drag, putting a wig on a sneaking into the ladies seems like an odd thing to do - does it really happen that much?
-
Not a serious issue, obviously can be an issue. If you are so scared of transexuals I would just use a cubicle if I was you.
-
Changing rooms are obviously an issue but transexuals have always used other changing rooms, always will. I wouldn't say it was high on my list of serious issues. Sexual predators in male or female changing rooms is a bigger issue.

What Sam Smith is or isn't makes no difference to my life, neither has pronouns. If you think changing rooms, prisons and sports are serious issues you have your priorities all wrong.

New CEO, new DOF, new manager and probably a massive change in the players - I can't see us challenging for the title. It all does depend on how much the owners are willing to punt on it though.

Had a busy weekend so didn't see as much as I would have wanted. From what I watched Slash's performance was my highlight, Axl's voice is fucked but Slash more than made up for it. Cat Stephens singing Morning has Broken can fuck off, I don't get why anyone would pay £300 to stand there and watch that but each to their own. The crowd there nowadays just seems to be a mix of spoilt rich kids and soppy middle-aged wankers. Definitely prefer to watch it on the TV. I expect there are some other decent festivals out there that have taken over now.

But there have always been some right fairies in the LGBT community, that's not a new thing. Who cares what other people wear or want to call themselves, makes no difference to me. Says more about those who have an issue with it than the people themselves IMO. Maybe a lot of people think an over-weight middle aged man wearing a striped shirt with a teenagers name on the back is weird - each to their own
-
All the crap posted on here about pointless subjects like transsexuals or pronouns and stuff, yet you think it’s weird to discuss a genuinely serious issue. Just a bit odd that’s all.
-
Yeah much more important things to worry about, like chicks with dicks.

You are probably right. All I did, before I was piled on by the gammon crew, was pose a question about wether fiscal policy can help the fight against inflation in a fairer way. Interest rates don't exist in isolation. Maybe tax could be used to help dampen demand and lessen the pressure for higher interest rates. It just doesn't seem fair that hardworking young families will lose their homes while there is so much money sloshing about. I'm lucky enough to have a smallish amount left on my mortgage and am on a 5 year fixed which doesn't end for a few years so interest rates won't effect me in the slightest for a while. Some people are going to have their lives ruined while the Mrs will still to be going to Next to by loads of shit she doesn't even wear. -

https://www.ft.com/content/0520b466-b21a-4ee8-ba3c-91cbe1b1c6fd From last year….‘The IMF said on Tuesday that Rishi Sunak should bring forward planned tax increases to limit the risk of persistently high inflation, even though it would tighten the financial squeeze on Britain’s households. In its annual assessment of the UK economy, the fund said the chancellor should spare poorer households and impose higher income and wealth taxes on richer people. The IMF’s view is that wages and spending will not be squeezed as much as the Bank of England thinks, so there is a sizeable risk inflation stays too high for too long. With inflation forecast to rise to 7 per cent in the coming months, the IMF warned that without higher taxes, the BoE would be forced to raise interest rates significantly, with a serious risk of tipping the economy into recession next year.’ -

They keep raising interest rates yet here we are with high inflation. Just doesn't seem right that hardworking young people are going to end up with their homes repossessed, when richer, older people with little or no mortgage are going to just carry on splashing the cash. There must be a less crude way of taking money out of people's pockets. -

Would be more targeted than interest rates. -

If they want to calm down spending surely the best thing to do would be to tax the well off rather than just hike interest rates? Interest rate rises just fuck everyone over and I'm sure those worst hit will not be the ones spending most at the moment anyway so there will be a negligible effect on inflation.
