  1. What Police shoot someone, people riot - were you not around in 2011?
  2. Fuck me, he's banging on about taking the knee again.
  3. I'm sorry, but anyone who refers to the 'Main Stream Media' as if it is a single entity controlled by the government is by default, a fucking idiot. They are separate companies all competing with each other who rarely agree on anything. Some of whom will always be actively trying to scrutinise or bring down whatever government is in charge. The only thing they have in common is that they will all be desperately looking for the biggest news story that will get them readers/viewers so if there is ever even a grain of truth in any of these ridiculous conspiracy theories they would be all over it quicker than you can say free-market press.
  4. Not according to this YouGov survey, but I guess you know best. https://yougov.co.uk/topics/society/articles-reports/2022/07/20/where-does-british-public-stand-transgender-rights By gender: Women are more likely than men to support greater transgender rights across all questions Across the board, women are more likely than men to support greater transgender rights. In fact, the only transgender issue on which men tend to be supportive is that people should be able to socially identify as a different gender to the one they had recorded at birth, by 47% to 33% (a net score of +14). While this may be the most pro-trans stance men take, it is also the one on which they are farthest behind women. More than six in ten women (63%) say people should be able to identify as another gender socially, compared to only 18% who disagree, giving a net score of +45. When it comes whether someone can change their legal gender status, men tend to be opposed, by 42% to 36%. Women remain in favour, although only a plurality of 44% say so, with 32% opposed. Much of the contention around trans rights has focused on transgender women and their access to women’s spaces. It is pertinent to note, therefore, that in all cases women are notably more relaxed about the prospect of a trans woman in a woman’s space than men are. The degree to which women are comfortable sharing their space with trans women does differ, however, depending on the venue. While women tend to think that trans women should be allowed to use women’s refuges for victims of rape or assault by 45% to 30%, and women’s toilets by 45% to 34%, allowing trans women in women’s changing rooms is more divisive, with 40% in favour but 37% opposed. Whether a trans person has had gender reassignment surgery also matters, with women tending to say trans women who have not undergone such surgery should not be allowed to use women’s toilets (40% vs 34%) or changing rooms (42% vs 29%). In all cases, men tend to oppose trans women’s access to women’s facilities, and by notable margins.
  5. I totally agree that women should feel comfortable and safe, the same applies for trans women. Communal changing rooms obvious present an issue but there must be a solution through planning and legislation. Jumping up and down screaming ‘women don’t have cocks’ is not helping solve anything and just makes things worse. We all know the biology. It’s an issue but I don’t think as anywhere as serious as the Daily Mail and the like make out. I expect most trans people avoid communal changing like the plague. They go through great time and effort to be like they are - operations, hormones, putting on make up, finding the right clothes, shaving their ass or whatever they need to do just to appear as feminine as possible. Why would they then want to go into a female changing room and start waving their cock around? Looks to me many people are transphobic and just trying to find issues. Since when did the average Daily Mail reader give a shit about the wellbeing of murderers and thieves in prison? All the hype about the trans rapist in Scotland and the whole time he/she/it was in solitary confinement so it didn’t matter in the slightest what gender prison they were in. Sport - seriously? Every sporting governing body is free to make up they rules if trans people have an advantage. There is just a continual narrative that trans people are perverts or dirty freaks which just alienates them and make women more uncomfortable about them. Gender dysphoria exists and until there is a magical cure we should treat trans people with kindness and respect.
  6. My point is that if a trans woman wants to go swimming or to the gym in Southampton there are plenty of places where she can go, get changed and cause no one any hassle whatsoever. Which is what the vast majority want to do, and have done for years.
  7. They don’t have cubicles in the ladies?
  8. Which pools in Southampton don’t have cubicles or mixed changing then? The Quays, Rapids, Holly Hill, Wilderness and I think Bitterne do.
  9. In the ladies?
  10. Or a man has to accept a woman might see him naked too by that rationalle. It's obviously a difficult issue to solve but transexual men and women have always used different changing rooms - if you don't want someone to see your junk use a cubicle - that applies just as much to someone of the same sex as you as someone who may be trans. When was the last time you were forced to strip naked in front of someone else?
  11. I answered the fella below who made the same point about changing rooms. I’ve got better things to do than spend all night repeating myself on here. There are obviously issues but I don’t think it’s as serious as the Daily Mail and the like make out. There must be practical solutions that can keep women feeling safe without demonising an already marginalised group of people. Trans women have as much right to feel comfortable and safe as women IMO.
  12. This.
  13. Well done, I bet you passed GCSE biology didn’t you?
  14. I never said there were not issues, there obviously are but I just would not class them as serious issues. Climate change, the cost of living and the state of the NHS are serious issues. Sexual predators in changing room of either sex are a bigger issue than chicks with dicks IMO.
  15. I’ve got a 9 year old daughter and we go swimming regularly. I’ve never once been worried about chicks with dicks.
  16. Or she just might not want to be stared at, harassed or assaulted.
  17. Wouldn’t forcing trans women into male changing rooms cause similar problems though? I used to work with a trans woman, she was a great girl. When you looked you could tell she was probably trans but she wasn’t a complete munter, and she had a cracking set of jugs. Being forced to strip off in front of blokes would be a bit unkind and maybe put her at risk.
  18. Surely a male sexual predator would be more likely to just use the mixed changing rooms, pretty much all the swimming pools I have been to recently are mixed or have a mixed family changing area. Shops are generally mixed. Dressing up in drag, putting a wig on a sneaking into the ladies seems like an odd thing to do - does it really happen that much?
  19. Not a serious issue, obviously can be an issue. If you are so scared of transexuals I would just use a cubicle if I was you.
  20. Changing rooms are obviously an issue but transexuals have always used other changing rooms, always will. I wouldn't say it was high on my list of serious issues. Sexual predators in male or female changing rooms is a bigger issue.
  21. What Sam Smith is or isn't makes no difference to my life, neither has pronouns. If you think changing rooms, prisons and sports are serious issues you have your priorities all wrong.
  22. New CEO, new DOF, new manager and probably a massive change in the players - I can't see us challenging for the title. It all does depend on how much the owners are willing to punt on it though.
  23. Had a busy weekend so didn't see as much as I would have wanted. From what I watched Slash's performance was my highlight, Axl's voice is fucked but Slash more than made up for it. Cat Stephens singing Morning has Broken can fuck off, I don't get why anyone would pay £300 to stand there and watch that but each to their own. The crowd there nowadays just seems to be a mix of spoilt rich kids and soppy middle-aged wankers. Definitely prefer to watch it on the TV. I expect there are some other decent festivals out there that have taken over now.
  24. But there have always been some right fairies in the LGBT community, that's not a new thing. Who cares what other people wear or want to call themselves, makes no difference to me. Says more about those who have an issue with it than the people themselves IMO. Maybe a lot of people think an over-weight middle aged man wearing a striped shirt with a teenagers name on the back is weird - each to their own

All the crap posted on here about pointless subjects like transsexuals or pronouns and stuff, yet you think it’s weird to discuss a genuinely serious issue. Just a bit odd that’s all.
