SFC has NEVER had the opportunity to fulfill it's full potential, it's either been limited by the Dell or by having owners who invested nothing - the potential is a bit of an unknown quantity. I remember when Chelsea were a scutty little level 2 club. The problem with most Saints fans is that they are stuck with Dell-sized brains. I think the Chelsea home game in 2003 sold out in 6 and a half hours - and that was with players like Bret Ormerod up front. Saints don't have the biggest hardcore support but there are shed loads of people in the area who want to and can afford to watch the big Prem teams.

I dunno how you figure that out, it's up to the TV companies what logos they show and music they play.

I don't see what difference someone's passport makes if they are a threat - if anything it shows consistency on the US's part if they are willing to off one of their own. Having said that the there is obviously a concern that this is just Obama's way of winning back some of the right wing votes in next year's election.

You really are that gullable. Every single club that has gone into admin has been weeks, days, hours or minutes away from liquidation - it's just a game of cat and mouse to get the best price. In our case he got a rich local Saints fan to chuck his cash in. If you look at the value of SFC and it's assets compared to what the ceditors would have got on liquidation, there is no way in a million years it would have gone under. If someone of the calibre of Leibherr was interested, there would have been loads of others.
