A statement released unusually promptly!
-
I think these dinners are a good idea but not having a forum is a bad idea. I don't know why the usuals are wetting themselves again, no one is saying Cortese is doing a bad job.
-
Love Cortese's ambition, we are definitely lucky to have someone like him running the club. All these, "my mate said" is just second hand rumour though, as I said it would be much better if questions were asked at a fans forum and all replies were on the record from the horses mouth. Also, bit of a coincidence that one of the people who got an invite was some happy clappy mong who hangs round the training ground to have pics ytaken with the Chief Exec!
-
The important thing is for the jury to just look at the evidence in front of them and ignore all the media hype. There is a danger that they will feel under pressure to find these guys guilty because of the race issue that surrounds it.
-
To be fair plenty of Indian and Chinese restaurants choose their staff based on the colour of their skin.
-
I don't have a problem with ass-kissing, Cortese more than deserves it, he has done a wonderful job. I don't have a problem at all, just think the fans forum was more transparent which can only be a good thing.
-
Exactly, if Cortese buys me a nice dinner and gives me wine I'm not going to be rude and bust his balls about some ticket tax or parking charges. That's why the public forums are a good idea, let the sad mongs ask the awkward questions and everyone hear the answers.
-
Apparently I have a low sense of anger. Load of nonsense, all sorts makes me angry I just didn't give a sh!t about half their bull**** scenarios.
-
I agree, they should do both. You do get nutjobs at the forums but they have just as much right to ask questions as those at these meals. Plus it's not hard to spot those with agendas. Things are going well now so it is not a big deal but if in 3 years time we are sold to a Russian gun-runner we might look back and wonder why no one actually asked what their plans for the club were.
-
I thought it was better when they held open forums where anyone can ask questions and the replies from the horses mouth were reported in black and white. With these cosy dinners you just get rumours about what was said so there can be no direct quotes - you can only guess what was really said, plus the people who attend are put in a situation where it would be rude to ask really challenging questions. And yes, I bet there are not many Northam stand ST holders from Shirley invited.
-
What, the half billion pound potty that was supposed to be built on reclaimed, Royal Navy land by a Russian gun-runner! I would love to see how those figures add up!
-
No one will ask challenging questions, that's why Cortese holds these cosy little dinners with hand picked fans. It will be an evening fine dining, wine and copious obscene bum kissing.

There is no doubt that the EDl and BNP have a large amount of racist thugs as supporters, that doesn't mean there is not a valid cause behind the movements though. The rights of british people in areas swamped with immigrants should be protected, they shouldn't be expected to have other cultures imposed on them in their own country and expect to say nothing and just put up with it.
-
There was one black girl at my school, she let a fifth year stick a rounders bat up her fanny behind the science block.
-
Any form of racism is dumb but I can understand people getting p!ssed off when they see their way of life being eroded, local services over stretched and lack of jobs due to immigration. I lived in a very diverse area of London for 5 years (Totteham, Wood Green, Enfield areas), my lasting impression was that the ethnic minority areas were crime ridden, the local whites very racist.
-
If you did the same for the whole league there would be plenty of squads that cost similar/more.
-
Where do you live?

It's clear financial cheating yet again. By offering tax free bungs into offshore accounts they can attract a higher calibre of manager than they would otherwise. gaining an unfair advantage over other clubs who abide by the law. If they are found guilty then surely the courts would have decided it was a company owner paying an employee, not a private matter. It would be interesting to know if any payments were sent whilst Redknapp was Saints manager.
-
Weren't Swindon demoted two leagues for tax evasion?
-
I think the EDl is a pointless organisation, but what the pigs did there sounds like bullsh!t. If they are causing hassle fair enough, but to arrest them because the plod think they might cause trouble is nonsense. That behavour is only going to add support for groups like the EDL.
-
How do you know he's unfit?
-
And because of this apply in writing b*ll*x.
-
I won't be happy if the coaches don't have any toilets, I was planning on getting rat-arsed before I got on the bingo bus and don't fancy a scrum for the facilities at krapnottarf.
-
Pompey is the clearest case that there has ever been of financial cheating in football in this country. At least what Leeds did, whilst being a reckless gamble, was sustainable if they continued in the CL, what the skates did was NEVER sustainable. They are like someone who bought a Farrari on credit they could never afford, had it repossed, then still go around boasting about how they used to have a Farrari. Hollow, hollow, hollow.
-
The way the club deals with the media does seem retarded. Spats with the press are always pointless, futile and counter productive. Every time a paper prints a positive story about the club it's like a free ad to SFC's target market, anyone with half a brain can see that a good relationship will only help the club make more of that lovely money.
