  1. I think the future is more inportant, that's why if the chairman is being a c*ck, he should be told.
  2. You really are that gullable. Every single club that has gone into admin has been weeks, days, hours or minutes away from liquidation - it's just a game of cat and mouse to get the best price. In our case he got a rich local Saints fan to chuck his cash in. If you look at the value of SFC and it's assets compared to what the ceditors would have got on liquidation, there is no way in a million years it would have gone under. If someone of the calibre of Leibherr was interested, there would have been loads of others.
  3. Maybe not, but not hard to understand.
  4. Because he doesn't like this fella...
  5. It is a bit of a mountain out of a mole hill, I'm sure MLT finds the whole thing quite funny. My only concern is that Cortese is showing a lack of respect for the feelings of the fans, as he has in some of the decisions he has made previously.
  6. no, did I say you said otherwise?
  7. including you
  8. na na na na, I'm not listening
  9. There is no way the PL would give PFC any money early unless they had some sort of control ie. Lampit. I also think the reason they have escaped any punishment is because they are still in a position where the ruskies can turn the whole place into a big car park.
  10. Are you really that naive? Of course Fry was going to come out with that sort of stuff, how else would he get people to throw their tenners in a bucket or in Leon Crouch's case probably tens of thousands. He let Pinnacle d!ck about because he knew there were other buyers willing to jump in - it was a no lose gamble. If SFC was liquidated when people of the calibre of Leibherr were interested then Fry would have looked like a complete muppet.
  11. There is no way in a million years we would have been liquidated.
  12. How do you work this one out? - give specific examples.
  13. You can easily draw a line, one could be: people with parts of St Marys named after them can buy some tickets for their friends. If Richard Dryden had phoned up and wanted 8 tickets for his mates the club would have made another £240 odd, so yes, it would make sense to let him have tickets.
  14. Why is everyone banging on about freebies? I don't remember Mat le tiss ever saying he expects freebies. The Man U game last year he just wanted the chance to BUY tickets for his mates. That's arguably the club's greatest and loyalist player, wanting to spend his hard earned money on some tickets and told he wasn't allowed.
  15. We should have stumped up the cash for CMS.
  16. Wenger can **** off, I can't wait til they fail to qualify for the Champs League and their scummy club starts falling apart.
  17. I don't think there is one person on here who is not happy with the club at the moment. I am over the moon with the team and the way it is being run. It is possible to criticise Cortese on certain issues and still be very happy, problem is some people are scared of expressing an honest opinion in case they upset a few happy clappy mongs.
  18. It didn't even sell out.
  19. League tables don't mean a great deal at this stage IMO. Burnley are a decent side, a point isn't a bad result.
  20. He won't win anything at Arsenal, better of moving to one of the Champions League contenders.
  21. Nicely put. Cortese says no one is bigger than the club, but his ego is obviously is.
  22. Decent result, we can't win every week.
  23. Exactly, whenever I have gone in the corporate section one of the highlights is listening to anecdotes from the old pros and their views on the game. Plus people like Le Tiss and Lawrie Mac are always in the media and have contacts throughout the game - how does alienating them benefit SFC in any way at all?
  24. I actually think it would make commercial sense to let Channon, Rodrigues or Neimi have the occasional freebie, they might even be able to shift a few of those empty corporate seats if there were a few interesting people mincing about upstairs.
  25. or for someone paid to comment on football he was just doing his job. If you remember rightly Le Tiss just wanted to BUY some tickets for the Man U game for his friends and was refused.
