I remember a "10 Year Plan" being spoken about at a Fans Forum. Not sure if it was from Phil Parsons or one of the SR bods.........but it definitrly came from the board.

Does anyone know what Jordan Sibley's username is?

Now.....I consider myself reasonably intelligent and quite well-read.....but I haven't a clue what any of this word-salad means....

Totally with you! I have been watching Saints since the mid 50's and had a ST since 1974. I have seen just about everything that football can throw at us.....both good and bad....over that time, and have always loved it. What has changed is that for most of that time the supporters have felt appreciated and part of the club.....it's not like that now. Despite what is promoted, we are just customers. Some fairly recent interaction that I have had with the club proves this to me. For personal reasons, I haven't been able to attend the last three home games and for the first time ever, I haven't missed it......and that makes me sad. Rightly or wrongly it is almost a case of the owners don't actually seem to care about, or understand the culture surrounding the club and it's history.......just about money.

He must love these PC's. Some real soft questions about Brighton as a city, how do you get away from the pressure and his running........

I have been watching Saints since the 50's, and Branfoot really WAS hated.....probably the most hated Saints manager that I have seen. It wasn't just the football which was dire, he really didn't come across as a decent bloke. I remember after one televised game he was being quite politely interviewed and when the interviewer referred to a particular incident in the game and she pointed toward the TV monitor, he angrily said something like "I know where the monitor is!" Might seem trivial. but it was embarrasing to watch. He worked at the club as a coach when i helped run the Travel Club, and a lot of staff said that he was going to make a good manager one day......how wrong they were!

I am not exactly still backing him, but I am a bit torn. I actually like him (as I did Ralph) and in some ways will be sorry to see him go. As I have said before, his style of football is brilliant............when it works. A number of times last season when we were winning games, seeing the opposition get frustrated because they couldn't get the ball off us was great. Sadly, when it doesn't work, it is f*cking diabolical! I am not one for name-calling but it is not his fault. He has his way of playing and he is determined to stick with it.....principals.....I get it. He could get a job at a lower league club and be very successful with it. It is up to the owners to either stick with it and take the consequences or say it aint working, and then make a change.

I am not normally one for demanding that Club owners issue statements to supporters every 5 minutes, but surely, now IS the time? They need to provide some sort of idea as to their thinking/planning. Just staying quiet in the background and letting things fall apart around them doesn't seem to make any sense, especially when you are dealing with/trying to keep paying customers.

.....or that they couldn't spell his name correctly.....

He said a couple of days ago that it was still very early in the season. The International breaks have made the season seem longer.....make of that what you will...

Everyone was so full of praise earlier on...

Yet there were some on here last week saying that he was over-rated and a waste of money....

I have been a supporter of RM. For me, Russball was brilliant when it worked and we won. Seeing the opposition losing and getting frustrated because they couldn't get the ball off of us. Because of what he did I felt that he should be given a fair go at life in the Prem. Ten games was fair I thought. I felt a bit dirty when we got rid of Ralph. He was a decent man and would have been a good manager if he had been backed. I will feel the same when RM goes......but 10 game in......one point from 27 (30) isn't anywhere near good enough. Just going upstairs to turn the shower on.......

Never forgiven him for that nasty foul on VVD....rat-faced little fink!!

Did you see his interview on Football Focus today? You may be disappointed..... Russell Martin: Southampton boss to stick with style of play - BBC Sport

Nah.....that can't be right.....

Everton 0-1 up!

But we keep being told on here that most top Foreign leagues aren't a patch on the Prem......most equivalent to the Championship and by all accounts (IF TRUE) the players have a great deal of respect for RM......just playing Devils Advocate.....
-
No manager is.....until they are.....even Pep had to start somewhere. Poch. Koeman etc had no Prem experience......

Merci bien Christophe. Nice to see a pleasant post!
