Tim Sherwood not a fan of RM, then......
-
It makes you wonder who made all the decisions on signings when JW left and never properly replaced.

Not really sure why I am asking, but have I missed the presser for Villa?
-
Teams around us changing or considering changing their managers (West Ham the latest)........I wonder if any of them would consider poaching RM? After all, Pep and Co think that he is such a brillant manager. A relegation rival stealing our manager would certainly finish us off.................wouldn't it??
-
I understand the people that say that Owners don't normally issue statements about Manangers/plans etc, but to a degree we are in new territory here. Most clubs in our position would have sacked their manager by now and replaced him with a more expensive alternative who probably has a big bonus in place if he keeps the club up. SR are doing something different......they have decided that RM is doing a great job, and is,therefore, the right Manager for us whatever happens.....which means that they have long-term plans in place. I think that it's only right that us customers are told what the plans are.

Was it just me? Was there a pause in the middle of the presser? Went off and came back on a few minutes later. RM getting snippy when asked if he was kicking himself.

We are so bad it is almost comical....
-
They are like headless chickens.....but slower....

This is purgatory. I am sad to say that after watching Saints for 65 years, and having a ST for around 50 years, it has almost got to the stage where I don't actually care any more.....it has been driven out of me....SO sad....
-
I think that RM in his pre-Brighton presser that he leaves the Social Media perusal to Jordan.......so I guess he must be on here. There must be some prime candidates surely?
-
Yes it was. I remember it distinctly. I can't find a reference either, but it definitely came from above!
-
I remember a "10 Year Plan" being spoken about at a Fans Forum. Not sure if it was from Phil Parsons or one of the SR bods.........but it definitrly came from the board.

Does anyone know what Jordan Sibley's username is?
-
Now.....I consider myself reasonably intelligent and quite well-read.....but I haven't a clue what any of this word-salad means....
-
Totally with you! I have been watching Saints since the mid 50's and had a ST since 1974. I have seen just about everything that football can throw at us.....both good and bad....over that time, and have always loved it. What has changed is that for most of that time the supporters have felt appreciated and part of the club.....it's not like that now. Despite what is promoted, we are just customers. Some fairly recent interaction that I have had with the club proves this to me. For personal reasons, I haven't been able to attend the last three home games and for the first time ever, I haven't missed it......and that makes me sad. Rightly or wrongly it is almost a case of the owners don't actually seem to care about, or understand the culture surrounding the club and it's history.......just about money.

He must love these PC's. Some real soft questions about Brighton as a city, how do you get away from the pressure and his running........

I have been watching Saints since the 50's, and Branfoot really WAS hated.....probably the most hated Saints manager that I have seen. It wasn't just the football which was dire, he really didn't come across as a decent bloke. I remember after one televised game he was being quite politely interviewed and when the interviewer referred to a particular incident in the game and she pointed toward the TV monitor, he angrily said something like "I know where the monitor is!" Might seem trivial. but it was embarrasing to watch. He worked at the club as a coach when i helped run the Travel Club, and a lot of staff said that he was going to make a good manager one day......how wrong they were!
-
I am not exactly still backing him, but I am a bit torn. I actually like him (as I did Ralph) and in some ways will be sorry to see him go. As I have said before, his style of football is brilliant............when it works. A number of times last season when we were winning games, seeing the opposition get frustrated because they couldn't get the ball off us was great. Sadly, when it doesn't work, it is f*cking diabolical! I am not one for name-calling but it is not his fault. He has his way of playing and he is determined to stick with it.....principals.....I get it. He could get a job at a lower league club and be very successful with it. It is up to the owners to either stick with it and take the consequences or say it aint working, and then make a change.

I am not normally one for demanding that Club owners issue statements to supporters every 5 minutes, but surely, now IS the time? They need to provide some sort of idea as to their thinking/planning. Just staying quiet in the background and letting things fall apart around them doesn't seem to make any sense, especially when you are dealing with/trying to keep paying customers.
-
.....or that they couldn't spell his name correctly.....
-
He said a couple of days ago that it was still very early in the season. The International breaks have made the season seem longer.....make of that what you will...

Everyone was so full of praise earlier on...
