So why isn't he currently utilising these abilties? What is the reason that he has done nothing since leaving us? Injury? He was never the same for us after the injury. Is he just sat around moping wait for us to call on him again?

Whilst I am not comparing them exactly, before anybody suggests it, are you suggesting that SAF, Pep, Klopp etc are not singleminded? They all have their way of playing and try to stick to it. It is the ability to successfully change during a game that make a great manager. I saw people saying at the beginning of last season saying that RM wouldn't get us promoted because he had never done it before.....conveniently forgetting that NO manager had got a team promoted until the first time that they did.

I may be wrong, but I agree. Can't see the love in with Broja. I really wanted to keep him after his first few games, but he had the injury and has done nothing anywhere since then.

I am very confused about Yuri. On one hand "a useless Clown" on the other 17 goals this season and a Brazil cap. Like nearly everyone else on here, I have never heard of him.

No worse that normal....in fact it may have even been slightly more free-flowing than normal.

In his after match interview on Solent, RM said that we needed a striker or a wide man....IIRC.

I remember a few seasons ago, travelling to SMS for a game. It had been raining cats and dogs overnight and all morning. I said to my daughter that I was a bit surprised that the game was on. We entered the stadium to find that the pitch sprinklers were on watering the pitch!

Just watched the video of the presser. What was the video clip of RM that they were talking and laughing about? Listened 2 or 3 times but couldn't make out what they were on about.

From what RM said when this came up the other day, it sounds like at some point ABK had some sort of non-urgent, heart-related standard procedure carried out, and it was not a secret. Whether it was with us or elswhere......who knows?

I said that it was to a great deal irrelevant, simply because having a man sent off doesn't mean that you will definitely lose. It obviously doesn't help but I have seen any number of games over many years where 10 men have held out or even gone on to win. Perhaps I should be paying more attention to the 0.8631. or the 0.8631. figures......

We all know that being down to 10 is to a great degree irrelevant. I have seen games that 10 men have lost and 10 men have lost. That is the nature of sport....it's unpredictability. If it was THAT predictable we wouldn't watch it.

You will probably get an onslaught from the Marvins on here coming on with that positive attitude.

I genuinely dispair of some people on here. Having been watching Saints since the mid-1950's, I have just about seen it all, but the over-reaction on here today almost takes the cake. First game of the season on our return to the Premier League, away to a well established, very rich club, where we lose 0-1 and certainly didn't disgrace ourselves, and the doomsters are out in force. Could we have done better? Yes. Could we have done worse? Most certainly. We can come away from that game with our heads held high. Things to bear in mind...RM's first game as a PL manager. Integrating new players. Losing 0-1 at SJP is not a disgrace. Transfer window still open for another week or two. Most people used to say give the team/manager 10 games to bed in. Nowadays (certainly on here) you are lucky to get 10 mins! Had it not been for AM we would hopefully got at least a draw and things may have looked different, but I suspect even that would not be enough for the Marvins on here.
