  1. Tend to agree. I was a bit shocked at the cheering. I admit that he wasn`t very effective today but he certainly didn`t deserve that.
  2. On some theatre tickets you have to pay a "Booking Fee" AND an "Admin Fee" PER TICKET. Yes it is a way of ripping the public off, but at least it is a £3 fee per booking not per ticket at SMS. Sadly it is the way things are nowadays but as someone else said at least Saints are upfront about it and there are ways to avoid it.
  3. Other people have started threads about their memories and time spent supporting Saints. That is as relevant as a thread about MLT appearing live in the city I would have thought. As relevant as the many other threads concerning memories of other, less God-like EX- players currently on the main board. I must admit that worrying as to whether the OP is "Saints related" is not top of my list of prioroties ATM. I have a yoghurt going off in the fridge and it needs to be eaten.
  4. It`s in Southampton and features MLT. I would have thought it was Saints related.

  6. The Plaza I think. Also remember the Broadway and the Palladium (?) in Portswood and the Savoy(?) in Swaythling
  7. Zip it, Compo!
  8. I had a rattle, painted red and white ( which I think that I might still have up in the roof somewhere), that my grand-dad made for me. I used to take it to the Dell and to Bannister Court to watch the Saints speedway team. Great days
  9. TBF I think that MLT would quite happily describe himself as a "lazy Guernseyman". He has never professed to being the fittest player in the Unierse!
  10. Whilst I agree with the sentiments in your post, what people can`t seem to see is that the perceived rise of "Political Correctness" (getting back to the original subject!) is one the things that is making the extreme right seem like good prospect to certain people. The recent reported case of the head of a health watchdog losing her position and the watchdog losing it`s funding after a long costly investigation because she used the phrase "jungle drums" when talking about rumours is a prime example of this. Whether or not the report is accurate doesn`t matter because this will just be seen as "another brick in the wall" to the Right. The perception that we are not allowed to "Offend" anyone but it doesn`t matter if we are "Offended" ourselves is one of the things that drive the Right. People on the left who in general dislike censorship of most kinds, can`t seem to understand that "PC" in it`s extreme form is becoming censorship in itself
  11. Are you suggesting that he is a very naughty boy??
  12. This is the only "reasoned" argument that some people have. "I don`t agree with your view so you must be a nobbend - end of!"
  13. This was in yesterdays Mail, so obviously it`s all made up, but IF it did happen.......... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1354370/How-referring-gossip-jungle-drums-led-month-racism-probe.html Who was actually offended? Was it really worth the time and money spent investigating?
  14. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1354370/How-referring-gossip-jungle-drums-led-month-racism-probe.html Oh for the return of Common Sense.
  15. What about stereotyping Skates? Is that O.K? Can`t see much difference.
  16. I saw this tour in Winchester. You are right with what you say.
  17. I am also waiting with baited breath for a number of claims against this forum for the stereotypical, offensive remarks aimed at supporters of PFC.
  18. TBF I was thinking of Macbeth, but I am sure that TH had one as well!
  19. Oh yes. Sorry. I knew that it was some "blasted heath" or other!
  20. There have been a couple of very interesting "Southampton History" threads on here if anyone can find them.
  21. At Locks Heath?
