SAINTS CELEBRATE 125 YEARS at the Mayflower Feb 13th 2011

Dunno, but it better be good - Mayflower sold out. -
Blimey!! It just shows how different people can interpret the same words!! I posted this on a thread that I started this morning :- Interview Positives?? I`m sorry if this has been picked up on elsewhere, but there seems to be a bit of a negative feeling on here regarding any new signings and the possible sale of AOC. Listening to the end of NA`s interview for the first time this morning, he said that "nobody will be leaving the building(!)" and that yes he was expecting some new bodies to come in, but everything will be done quietly behind the scenes. He indicated that transfer activity intensified as the window closes. On AOC he indicated that he would not be leaving the club until possibly "someway down the line" as he is our player and we are developing and nurturing him, and that he would not be subject to any auction. I thought on the whole it was a positive interview.

I may be a "glass half full" type of person, but I certainly got the impression from the interview that NA thought that AOC would be here for the long-ish run.

I always loved "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"

I was not suggesting that JP was Saints answer to Ronaldo, but he is a better player than some of the posters on here suggest. BTW, I sit right in the centre of the Kingsland, just afew rows back and I can assure you that twice he put virtually pin-point passes across the field to AOC on the other touch-line from just in front of us..
-
I thought that he had a good game against Blackpool and again yesterday. As I said on another thread, some of his cross-field passes to AOC were superb. One missed chance, when he slipped and he`s a knob!! Give the guy a chance. It wasn`t too long ago when the know-it-alls said that Guly was on a par with Ali Dia! Now they all want him signed up! Football fans, eh??

Some of his cross-field passes to AOC were sublime. I thought that he had a decent game. Sadly he is one of those players where the nay-sayers pick up on the negative and ignore the positive. One chance which he missed when he slipped is enough to condemn him to being crap.

It may only me, but I felt that we played well today until we got to the 18yd box. We were by far the better team but strangely lacking when it came to finishing, when you consider our goal scoring exploits of the last few games. -
This :- http://www.showofhands.co.uk/2010/11/01/covers-2/ Something like their 20th Album is acoustic covers of songs by Springsteen, Stereophonics, Bob Marley, and many more. Excellent stuff!

The thing is that history can be massaged to "prove" anything. Corp, for example, bangs on about the two 4-1`s as though they are proof that Skates are better than us, whereas I think that we have an overall win ratio of 19-9 (including the fact that we have won more of the games at FP that they have). History isn`t just about results on a page. How does our 30-odd year time in the top division come into the equation? I am very excited about Saints ATM, and have immense pride in what is going on at the club and the way it is being acheived. I feel clean. Can any Skate, in all honesty, claim that?

A bloke walks into a brothel and says: "I'm a bit kinky, how much for total humiliation?" The madam replies £60. "Wow, what do I get for that," he says. She says: "A baggy green cap and an Australia shirt -
